"This launch is an extra special one. Chained Beasts was the first ever game we set out to make as a team at Featherweight 12 years ago, before we had the resources, team or skills to actually pull it off. Originally it started as a 48-hour game jam project called Enterchained, inspired by the chained-up scene in the movie Gladiator. We liked the game jam concept so much that we started building an expanded project around it. Back then, we didn’t have the resources, the team or the skills to pull it off, so six months in, we had to put it aside."

"Many years later, when we picked the concept back up, we decided to lean even harder into the chaos and comedy that the chain and injuries system introduces when playing with a group of 4 in co-op. Not to forget the goal of keeping the combat as brutal and punishing as the gladiatorial setting demands, which gives the feeling of a hardcore party game. The end result is what we’ve been referring to as a hardcore party game and all of the elements have come together better than we could have imagined."

Come hang out with us and the community on Discord[discord.gg]: share replays of your best runs, your funniest affliction moments, and find chain-mates to dive into our cross-platform co-op with!

We’d also welcome you to tell us about your experience with the game, including balance feedback, bug reports or even just a quick note to let us know you’re having a hoot!

And if you're enjoying the carnage, please \leave a Steam review\. It makes a massive difference for a small studio like ours, and is one of the best ways we can bring ever more combatants to the fight.

"Our beta and demo players over the last few years played a huge part in shaping the game as it is today. Watching them play helped us identify where the magic was, and their feedback helped us remove or streamline some brutally unpleasant afflictions and polish up some of our more confusing coop interactions. Finally, to our incredible development and art team: thank you. We're honoured to have had you with us for the journey."
