Steam will ignore your request. Just block the spammers and only view threads which the author of the thread is not on your block list. Effective immediately.

Give it another 48 hrs, and things will be back to normal.

If you wish to permanently remove spammers, prolific trolls, or anyone you don't want to interact with so that none of their posts will be visible, and you won't even see 'post by blocked user' then here's how.

1) Install the browser extension U Block Origin.
2) Click the uBlock Origin extension icon in your browser toolbar
3) Click the Dashboard (gear/settings icon).
4) Select the My filters tab at the top.

5) Copy in the following:



6) Click the Apply changes button at the top left of the screen. Refresh your Steam forum pages, and any thread or comment containing hidden content from blocked users will be completely removed from the page.

keep cool - it will be always the same drama and do not forget the newbies who have to get used to the game and this forum. as long as bethesda tries to milk this game we hope they make no mess of it.

Funny thing is, this isnt just for FO4. Crimson Desert was rolling out an update literally ever week, for a few months. And literally ever week, people were whining on the forums about it breaking their mods. But that too, was probably somehow Bethesdas fault.

Excellent advice and best way to handle. Plus, bonus, it extends across forums and you don't ever have to know troublemakers are making trouble in future forums as well. I don't think there's a single block I regret. They really never have anything of value to me to offer. Plus, another bonus, I never have to help someone who's just going to attack me for doing so. But, even if they didn't and needed legit help... well, their fault they were blocked in the first place.

I just feed my block list after each update. Btw, does the steam block list has a limit??? My list is huge these days (special thanks to the Starfield forum).

No, no limit. There's well over 500 names on my block list.
