Enable autosaves in survival mode.
I'm looking for a mod or a way to tweak the files to enable travel autosaves in Survival Mode.

I don't want normal saving, just autosaves when entering/exiting buildings.

Unlimited Survival Mode automatically saves when you enter/exit buildings. The other features can be turned off but I'd just keep it if you don't use it at all. Needs the latest F4SE.

Try adding in Fallout4Prefs.ini
Under the [MAIN] block
bSaveOnTravel=1

...or changing the variable from 0 to 1

This mod works for me and does not need F4SE or the menu mod.

^ this is what I use too. I cannot recommend it enough.
Yeah I wish. Just lost 3hrs worth of progress due to a crash.
Cheat Terminal/you can play survival anyway you like. Couple mods out there to play Hard or Very Hard survival also.

I prefer to play survival with no xp for settlement building,i beleive it's oc decorator mod that give you that option.

If you use mods you basically have to cheat with a quicksave mod or cheat terminal the game crashes or corrupted saves all the time.
Make yourself a sleeping bag Mod and keep it on you all the time, just drop it before you go into your quest/building.
+1 for Unlimited Survival Mode
I've always used Unlimited survival mode too. Never had any problems with it

It would if the game wasn't prone to CTD.

When you get older you don't have the time to do a mission 5 times in a row because you made a mistake in 4 others. It also lets you save in case you have a phonecall, need to go out, or someone's at your door. You can still follow the other rules of Survival Mode, like sleeping, no fast-travel, etc.

Occasionally you can fall back to solutions that the mod offers like in the case of weird glitches. For example, I went with Nick Valentine to the BOS ship but he kept falling out and landed somewhere in the water. So you can stimpack him and then fasttravel back to the ship, problem solved. It's also recommended that you have the console available in case its needed.
I like just about every mechanic of survival way more than the vanilla game, except for the saving system.
And the only reason i don't like the saving system is because the game is way to unreliable.
If the game was bug free and 100% stable or even close to it, i would use it as is.
But this is a Bethesda game so....
