Bet they won’t do any bug fixing except to make the game worse with micro transactions or whatnot. It’s what they did last time. Enshittification keeps rolling.
The last piece of evil I experienced was I think Bethesda, though it might have been Nvidia, forcing a mod you didn’t really want into your game then making it a pay for play microtransaction that wasn’t that micro, and effectively holding your game for ransom. Had to restart 3 times.

Remember EA hates gamers and feels that they are addicts and chumps. They said as much. They treat gaming like running a casino. Their only goal is making as much money as possible.
They will probably keep doing updates as long as they can continue making money with someone else’s code.

If evil couldn’t win short term no one would be evil. It always loses eventually, but the trick is to be gone before the hole you dug in the boat gives out.

Bethesda can’t manage to leave and their deeds are catching up with them. As the saying goes “ the wheels of justice turn slowly but they never stop turning”

Never have for me. The updates have never broke my game and only made the game better if it is one for the PC. And I use a lot of Creation mods.

Must be one of the scummier game devs of today, knowing full well that their games are kept alive by modders, and yet keep releasing updates that cause grief to them.

When other games get bugfixing updates, Fallout 4 just gets widescreen and creations updates after all these years 😵‍💫

There are still bugs in the game that make quests impossible to progress sometimes.

The bug in "Butcher's Bill" quest where the dead drop doesn't appear has been in the game since release. Never fixed.

And we don't need to mention why we absolutely refuse to install the "Unofficial Patch". We don't want an oblivion gate in the middle of Diamond City.

I've never had a signficant issue with any of the updates, and why is it a problem if they give advance notice of it for people who prefer to block the updates?

They're announcing it, not just springing it on people without warning.

People go apesheet because the update will break their mods, and resort to increasingly hyperbolic and shrill criticisms due to the inconvenience.

Of course they could always just prevent their game from automatically updating on Steam... but they never do, regardless of how often people on here remind them and provide instructions on how to do it.

Yeah this stuff doesn't make me very hopeful for the next skyrim/fallout lol

Probably launch with a ready-made in game store to buy stuff and no modding allowed
