Skyrim and fallout 4 are updating again...
For the love of **** stop updating your games Bethesda. Everyone's going to rage quit modding eventually if you keep this up. I suggest looking at guides on how to disable updates.

LOL, no one who knows what they're doing is "rage quitting" modding. Here, real simple for you, don't use F4SE and you'll likely never have to worry about updates again.

Yeah and then your game breaks out of nowhere, constant lags and fps drops, not working scripted events and so on
I weaned myself off of all the xxSE's (SKSE, F4SE, SFSE, etc) long ago. If a mod requires them, I don't use it. Many modders have been making their mods non-dependent, or have a non-dependent version.
How many times has this topic been rehashed in other topics since the news came out?

Funny how I when I found out I didn't run here to create a topic to boohoo in my beer and find others that would join in.

Those of us who can read know that at ANY TIME Bethesda can drop a patch and there's not a damn thing any of us can do about it.

Well, we could either stop playing the game or never had purchased it saving us the beer drinking later.

The only people I feel bad for are the people creating mods. Every time this happens and their mod is affected they have to go back and fix it.

I have to hope they care enough to make sure that happens.

Oh, and for the record I wouldn't be surprised if at some time in the future yet another patch gets dropped.

Such is life.

On a sidenote: If you ever played Ar tonelico 2 you would be supremely grateful they can patch games. That game was released with a game breaking bug that was never fixed for the localized version of the game.

I purchased the deluxe version of the game, too. Still got the extras as well. Still managed to find a way to beat the game multiple times. Where there's a will there's a way.

You don't know how lucky you have it that they can actually attempt to fix bugs. I wish people actually thought before making topics like this, too ... but then again I could continue to waste my time hoping for world peace too.

Please show me your mod list
the impending update has been a hot topic in several threads for a while now ... and if you mod, you should know it's on you to protect your modded game from unwanted updates ... now if you'll excuse me, I can see I'll be needing more popcorn today.
same thing different day, but yeah gotta wait until someone makes a rollback option or something. Honestly seen these a mile away, it's not surprising but definitely annoying to some degree for most.
Oh cool now they can add or fix more microtransactions for an 11 year old game instead of fixing actual bugs, thanks Bethesda you absolute trashcan of a company. Used to think you guys were great, just a dumpster fire of a cash grab now.

Sounds more like a case for not being able to handle a mod list properly rather than blaming updates. I played both before and after the last update rounds, the AE ones, no issues. I'm not disputing that others have issues. I'm just saying that those issues are more than likely self-inflicted.
just launch through mo2 (maybe vortex, don't use it so don't know) f4se launcher won't trigger the update

I actually think its an advantage for Modders to go back and update their mods when Bethesda releases their own updates. It helps them to see any new changes to the game engine when it comes to modding and other related areas for things like problem solving which may not be directly connected to modding. A tree of opportunity with many extending branches to other things. Also they are Modders this is what they enjoy doing tinkering with things under the hood and the thrill of overcoming any challenges and discovering the secrets of the game engine and game design. Oh and blessed are the Modders who share such knowledge with others whether they are fellow Modders or curious gamers who may end up being Modders who in turn may end up working for Bethesda on... ELDER SCROLLS VII, FALLOUT 7, STARFIELD 99. The ripple effect is on the wall reel to reel real.

Totally agree we are a fortunate lot to have consistent frequent updates compared to the 1990's when we would probably have to wait three months for a update and where it would usually only be easily available thru a game magazine subscription which came with a floppy disc or the rare but growing at the time habit of cd's full of updates and demos. Shoo there was a time updates did not even happen. You brought a game on a cartridge or big floppy and that was it. These days we get almost daily updates for games which take no space in our homes, we can research and buy multiple games at any time of the day in any kind of good or horrible weather where transportation is no longer a major consideration and we are not rushing our game shopping to get back to work or back home to pick up the kids. Yep we got it made being gaming hobbyist where games represent so much of the human spirit alongside all the fun :questheart::coffeeTLD:
Oh and it looks like the UPDATE is now LIVE. Enjoy :dqchalice::FATECheese:
