Two questions about your companions...

1) Codsworth :

Why is he singing the french national anthem "la marseillaise"? His name sounds British. He's definitely not French. The way he talks sounds British. As far as I know he doesn't have anything to do with France. So why is he singing this constantly? Did I miss something? Was he manufactured in France?
Also I would like to know why does he not simply do what I'm telling him? Why is he always questioning my choice? He's out servant robot. Has always been. He should be grateful that we didn't scrap him for some caps already. Why is he mad at me for making tough choices?
Wanna hear a nice joke? He literally decided TO LEAVE ME PERMANENTLY! When I went back to him he told me "have you not some innocent people to kill today?"
Can't believe this man! 🤦🏻‍♂️🙎🏻‍♂️

2) Strong:

Why does he always speak in third person? Why can't he just speak normally like any human being? Don't get me wrong he was human before being a supermutant.
This has been confirmed by the federal and investigation office of the BOS (Brotherhood Of Steel)
"Strong goes with human" "Human should not drink" "Strong wants to fight more" "Strong needs milk of human kindness"
So ironic. He wants a human thing but can't even speak like a F***** normal person!
I'm so mad at this! Why did they make him like this? Such a bad choice imo

Anyways if anyone could enlighten me on this that would be great 👍🏻

I have never noticed Codsworth speaking or singing in French. If he does, It is of very low interest to me why. The explanation would be, he was programmed to use that on occasion.

Codsworth has a affinity rating which is based on "good" actions by the player to raise. He is responding as he should.

Codsworth's humming those tunes requires a brief history lesson. I'd look it up.

Strong talks like that because he's not human.
The FEV is deteriorating his brain. Even broken English is an accomplishment in itself.

EDIT:
...and no, he doesn't want to be human. He wants the milk because he thinks it will make him powerful.

Jus a note, NO British butler, say wot Codsworth says. Neither is Whitechapel Charlie. Those r American ideas, o what a British butler sounds like

Surprised me as well. You'd expect this from Curie, not from a british butler. Anyway, it's kinda cute and la Marseillaise sounds nice.

I think Virgil is smarter than him. I wish we could recruit him somehow 🙄

If you get the right mods, he is.

But he is also not a supermutant. He is a scientist.

Hey now, APS (adult pronoun sensitivity) is a genuine condition, with doctors, and medicine, and stuff.

You can rescue him and then leave him at the Tower forever. In that case, you would still get the +3 to charisma suit from Rex.

basically codsworth is a butler and as a high class butler he must know french, it is just a class thing

strong is functionally a specaial needs individual ( cant use R word here ) because all supper mutants are, bascially the FEV which is what turns humans into supper mutants turns most of them intos sub 70 IQ specaial needs individuals with very few specific exceptions (it has something to do with base line genetic damage from radiation, complicated ♥♥♥♥ that you need to play FO1 to try to understand) but yea, he just not very smart is all

Cods was programmed with British etiquette. One can conclude that his programming was heavily influenced to include the sophistication of fine French cuisine.

While purely headcanon, I'd like to think that his personality profile was assisted by a prewar French Chef, acting as an advisor for General Atomics.
