What to do before downloading each new patch.
1) Swear.
2) Call Bethesda buffoons in any Steam discussion.
3) Make a copy of the "Fallout 4" folder.
3) Swear and insult Todd Howard.
4) Start the download and installation of the patch.
6) Swear, insult Todd Howard, and curse his past and future descendants while waiting for the download to finish.
7) Delete the "Fallout 4" folder you just updated and replace it with the previously copied one.
8) Swear, insult Todd Howard and all Bethesda employees.
9) Resume the game where you left off.

Or just relax and update your F4SE in a couple hours.
I just download them without acting like a child
Playing the game hasn't been the same since they shoved free mods in with the paid mods. Now i can't download mods without having rainbow garbage shoved in my face. Can't use 3rd party mod menus and stuff either because the game breaks and forces me to reinstall the game which forces the restart of the whole process. I'd rather just not play at all at this point. At least not until modding the games becomes as easy as Minecraft modding.

Bro, follow my guide and ignore the as sho les who tell you otherwise. My current save has over 900 hours of gameplay, over 350 mods installed, and I've been playing it for several years now on version 1.10.163, that's all I'll say.
