SUBTITLES PROBLEM

If you're experiencing issues with the subtitles not displaying correctly, it may be due to the Windows Scale option. Try to set your Windows Scale to 100%. You can do this by right-clicking your desktop and choosing "Display settings." From there, you can find "Scale." Try setting it to 100%. The game should be closed while doing this.

MISSING GLYPHS

The game now uses the fantastic Silver font. If you find any glyphs missing, please feel free to report them here or email me at makkonen.j.k@gmail.com. I can then ask the font authors if they could update the font.

STEAMWORKS.MFX

I had hoped the new update would fix this, but some people still experience this issue. This bug plagues games created with Clickteam Fusion. It's certainly odd, and finding what causes it seems incredibly hard. Apparently, people can launch the game by running it in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode. You can do this by right-clicking distraint.exe and selecting properties. From there, select the compatibility tab, check the "Compatibility mode" box, and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3) from the drop-down menu.

Running the game in compatibility mode breaks Steam overlay and achievements.
