Best sns build should look more or less like this:

Can swap latent power or some heandicraft for something else if you don't have all the decos.

Hope that's helpful!
nice stuff.. hmm is that a frost craft build with a fatty weapon? okay after googling i see now why frostcraft is good.. im an idiot i thought frostcraft just boosted ice related ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ lmfaoo time for a whole new greatsword build eventually</3 so fatalis armor works kindve like ahtal kas in mhgu giving you lots of room for a half and half build offense defense typa thing, safis armor is for like risk reward healing gameplay self proc some skills typa build. i now know that velks armor is kinda like for attacking harder which is what i want lmfao ive been missing out</3

Frostcraft is a bit glass cannon but it's the go to for GS and arguably for SnS too. That said not all weapon synergize well with frostcraft so it's not to go to for all.

Imo safi is best for elemental bowguns / Charge blade but not for much else. Some people would use safi for dual blades / bow but I wouldn't cause it lacks too much utility skills for my playstyle.

Most "meta" builds use 4P fatalis with 1P Velkhana Y. Notably all fatty with velky legs for peak performence is kind of the go to for most builds.

im about to try it out fr<3thanks yo this is goated
wow sns with evade extender is so incredible.. i feel like nargacuga or some ♥♥♥♥ lmfao dashing around all over the place.. it completely breaks certain attacks
In World optimal SnS is about chaining perfect rush over and over, it's definitely a skillfull playstyle but a bit of a bore with all the other options in the kit

I like to pair the Frostfang Barioth chest with +3 Attack and Punishing Draw with SnS to use to draw attack to snipe heads, it's a pretty consistent KO in any hunt you'd have to play suboptimal shield bashes for

It took me a long time to even start practicing backhopping attacks, but that's a dopamine spike every time you do it lol

i like that.. right now im optimizing my challenger charm to make room for other stuff.. its crazy how mobile you are... have you ever used sns in mhgu? seen some cool clips with like this flip attack
The most fun tip I can give you is to master the backhop, because it has generous iframes while also chaining into a variety of moves and serving as a combo link. You can backhop after any attack that's not Perfect Rush by pressing Back + Circle (or B on XBox/Right Click on KBM), from guarding with Back + Circle, and after a roll with just Circle. The input you want to practice the most is Guard rapidly followed by Back + Circle - this allows you to backhop nearly instantly even when sheathed, useful for both damage and iframing.

Now, the moves: if you just backhop with no further input, you'll automatically do an Advancing Slash (same as your unsheathe attack). If you hold back during the backhop, you'll do an Upward Slash - useful if you just wanted to iframe something and don't want to go back in. If you press Triangle/Y/LMB, you'll go into Perfect Rush, which is your most damaging combo. If you hold Circle and release it when you see a flash (or hold until it expires) you'll go into a Charged Slash, which will launch you in the air if you connect it.

Charged Slash deserves its own section. It actually consists of three moves: a short-ranged Shield Bash at the start, the Charged Slash, and Scaling Slash if you connect the Charged Slash. You can extend the range of the Charged Slash by holding Forward.
While in the air after Scaling Slash, you can press Triangle for a simple Jumping Slash that can mount and has 360 degree aim. Press Circle for Falling Bash, which hits twice - once you connect in the air and once at the ground - and can stun. Charged Slash has good reach for sniping, and Falling Bash is good to squeeze in damage if you can't/don't want to Perfect Rush.

Final thing to note is that you can chain Perfect Rushes by rolling after an attack and immediately backhopping into another Perfect Rush. This is useful for longer openings, such as Fatalis headbreak, since the final hit takes a while and sends you far away from the monster. Sorry if this reads like an instruction manual translated from Chinese, but I hope it helps.

Oh yeah I main SnS now across the series, just last week beat Amatsu in GU with SnS
Though I play Alchemy style so I'm missing backhops on it sadly.

Perfect Rush is pretty much Swords Dance from GU with less hits, and in Wilds you have the option to Shoryugeki shield fall from the ending hop as well
Though in GU Shoryugeki deals mount damage that shield fall doesn't do in later games

Round Force feels really satisfying in GU and is one of the best arts, I have 2 sleep Palicoes with me and using Round Force to snipe a head wakeup feels so good lol

Be careful with evade extender on sns as it might ruin your positioning on perfect rush.
