Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition

Help with balls in mission 16
so there is like "puzzle" where you have to make 2 balls hit each other.....I spent about 30 mins and still can't pass this sh:squirtyay:t
Any advise?

P.S. Who the f:cfacepalm:ck created this part and thought that this was good idea. I feel like beating ornsetin and smoug in Dark Souls is f:rfacepalm:cking easier than this

its quite easy. I'm assuming you're playing as Dante, so here's what you should do.

1. Choose Sword Master style.
2. Equip Beowulf.
3. Hit one ball with O button (style button) in mid-air, and then quickly hit second one exactly the same.
4. It is a total pain in the ass without Beowulf, but it's possible.

If you're playing as Vergil

1. Equip Yamato
2. Just spam triangle button (attack button) mid-air at both balls until they eventualy hit each other.

Is my game glitched or something? Why I have SO MUCH troubles with it. As soon as one of ball hit wall it lose almoust all momentum
Okay, manage to destroy them (thanks god). Thanks, you helped me a lot
Any time.

By the way, if this is your first time playing Devil May Cry series, then sadly you already know how horrible this PC port is. I'd strongly suggest you to check out guides to stop framerate issues, to get good controller support, and bigger resolution options. But know this, in order to stop low framerate, you must delete some music tracks from the game (which is horrible unless you're die hard fan who can bear it).

I'm using styleswitcher mod so I'm good. No problems with framerate, controller and resolution
I’m genuinely losing my mind on this rn

Do a jump melee attack with Beowulf/Agni & Rudra on each side. If that doesn't work, make sure that the FPS is set to 60 when using Style Switcher Mod.

You should have just play the collection, since it's not as bugy and broken.
I am 100% sure that this part is so hard because of a bad port, since I've seen playthroughs of this puzzle on original PS2 and played this game several times myself on switch and it's not NEARLY as hard.

Even though the port is undeniably bad, I've seen YT playthroughs and speedrunners in 2025 managed to go past this puzzle without issues.
Just dive kick them, its extremely easy

Then it's not because of the bad port.
When's the last time you did this? Is the game's FPS set to 60?

It was in 2016, I don't remember, may be FPS was set to 60, may be to 30, may be something else, go figure.

Doesn't matter for me, I'm not playing this port ever again.
