I installed the game and then went to play and all the menus and setup work just fine. However when I go to play the game I get to choose my characters and then it hangs up on the screen right after that. It has the controller/keyboard controls in the top right corner but other than that just a blank screen. I can press start to bring up the menu to resume, quit, etc but no matter how long I wait on that screen it doesn't move on to the actual game.

What platform are you running the game on? Does this happen every time you play?

The Linux version of the game does not have an executable

The game however is working fine, It is just that the game is in a /linux/ directory, The game and the content should be placed 1 directory above the current one in the Linux depot, Then I guess everything should work fine.

Great game, I played a few minutes and it seems like a lot of fun :)

I just attempted to update the depot. Steam should now point to the correct executable on Linux!

Hi Zac, i'm on Linux and no file is created after downloading and installing Bombfest. Bombfest folder is empty so there is no executable inside it to be run. Could you please check it out? Thanks!

Try validating the integrity of your cache for BOMBFEST! Just pushed an update that fixes some rare cases where users wouldn't have access to the Linux build.

hello, i just purchased this game after watching a review on YouTube and seeing it'd be fun to get, but the game runs at like 6~ish FPS (with brief spikes up to 12) on my computer as soon as the Title Screen starts, despite being able to run more graphically advanced games just fine.
my Geforce GTX 1650 is sitting at 50°c and Ryzen 5 2600 at 59°c with the game open.
i verified files once and it said to have reacquired 1 file but the game still runs the same.
no matter the resolution, quality or full screen setting, the game won't go over 5 fps

I'm sorry to hear that our games is giving you such trouble. I'll be honest; I don't have a clue why it may be running so poorly, and I apologize for it not meeting expectations. I'll looking into it today and let you know if I find anything.
