Sig[3].Value=ucrtbase.dll

Supposedly something to do with Microsoft Visual however I have uninstalled reinstalled and same issues.

no issues from the Developers on this hell i'd get the HD remake but i'm feeling likes a money grab if they think I'd have to repurchase a game I already own.

I have the same problem! I launch the game and just not load. :(

Yeah I have a friend who has the same problem. The issue is with ucrtbase.dll. I imagine the developers won't help us cause they'll want us to dish out more money to get the remake which will contain all the same crap.

This is suddenly happening to me as well. It ran without issue before.

As far as I'm concerned they literally broke the game so people are forced to buy the new one. Yes its at a discounted price and there is two whole new levels for $5 if you have the original game. I honestly don't care to pay $5 if I have the same issue with the new game however I don't know if that'll be a problem as well. I believe the developer should help us out here but instead they're being quiet cause its clear they don't give a crap.

I solved the problem guys. Go to documents, saved games, jamestown and delete it. You'll lose your save file but the issue is that it was corrupted. It could be the same for you guys. So I can't initially blame the developers unless they knew other wise what the issue was.

Another issue is that some people may not have the common redistributables from the Jamestown installation folder for some reason. Download OpenAL from https://www.openal.org/downloads/. Get Direct X 9 July 2010 https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=8109. You may also need Visual C+ 2008 which you can get from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26368. Make sure to install both vcredist_x86 and vcredist_x64. The game should then work.

Unfortunately, nothing you suggested worked for me, DCeric, but thanks for posting it. It's lonely feeling like nobody else is having a problem with this game.

Try uninstalling all of the Visual C redistributals and reinstall them then do the rest of the stuff and see what happens. Also uninstall the game and reinstall bla bla bla. Its hard to pin point the problems cause its a mess with a few requirements.

I can launch the game but it has flashes and graphic problems in most levels

Felt like playing Jamestown on a whim and found that it wouldn't launch.
Event Viewer says faulting module ucrtbase.dll.
Removing the save folder didn't work, event viewer showed the same error.
Nobody's been able to pin this down?

game is broken.

I have VC redist installed,
openal32 installed and copied dll to folder.
verified local files
deleted save dir
tried windows 8 compatibility mode.
tried compatibility trouble shooter.

Sadly you can mark this game as abandoned by the devs, do not buy.
