The Face

The Mighty [-_-]

So begins "The Face", narrative poem written in 1798 by Baltic region poet, Caesim Māukiņš Stikuts. The poem (a milestone of European romanticism) as a whole is now considered to be lost, but it had to be a powerful poetry, as it inspired the first wave of Spring of Nations in early XIXth century and inspired existence of paramilitary militia force, named after the poem and thus known as The Face. Drawing inspiration from the poem describing mysterious and powerful being, "The Face" (a symbolical embodiment of rising strength of surpressed nations as well as the force that will put the tyrants to justice), certain men (initially led by author himself, who successfuly called young, idealistic bourgeois circles to take arms) created this independent troop to fight all across the Europe, wherever the old tyranny was challenged by the refreshing winds of freedom blowing from France. Sadly ignored by modern historical research, The Face played a considerable role in every stage of Napoleonic era.

RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

With great sadness I share these news to you.

March 27 - Maru | 1 Comments

I have recently received the news that our dear member and friend Baskakov Dima has passed away.

Dima brings me back memories of Native Warband and his favourite game mode, commander battle in NW. Lietuvis and I met him in a Persistent World server we usually played and Dima was one of the administrators.

As such, he was constantly dealing with us "troublemakers" because our trolling knew no limits. So much so that we would constantly walk on a thin line of getting ourselves banned from the server. But his patience and our pathetic excuses would always save the day (or ban).

In all this back and forth Dima grew his interest on us and our clan. With an atypical name and outstanding discipline during our events he fell in love and participated as an official member of the [-_-].

During his membership, his contributions to the clan brought new ideas and even got us into a Native event in Persistent World and Warband where we fought other clans.

With all that said. He will be remembered as valued member.

May his soul rest in peace.
