Such an underrated and incredible survival game with an amazing story!

This game grabbed me as soon as I saw my favorite streamer playing it and I knew I had to experience it for myself.
From reading reviews I was worried about the game being very difficult. I was also worried that I will struggle with ammo and possibly soft lock myself and not be able to kill enemies. This was not true at all! And despite my fears I have managed to clear the game even on hardcore mode!

The game has a good selection of guns to fit your playstyle and unlocking upgrades for your guns feels incredible as the gun damage increases, clip upgrades etc. help a lot!

I took my time with the game exploring every nook, finding all the collectibles and there were so many resources around- I never felt like I was completely out of ammo, the game has a perfect balance of actually feelings like a survival game where you feel excited to find resources because you never felt like you had way too much of them! And you feel super rewarded for exploring as you find rooms with huge amounts of loot that set you up well for the next big encounter~

Finding cats in the world made my experience so much more enjoyable and wholesome with the little cute lines from the Traveler every time I found one. :3
Just how the warden says during his cat monologue: "...Sometimes they just knock things off tables and workbenches but I don't resent them for that, they just crave a little attention like we all do...I am proud that they graciously allow me to care for them. Beautiful creatures- so sublime, almost perfect."

Achievement hunting in this game has been very satisfying too- NG+ works in such a great way by allowing you to carry over all of your upgrades so starting the hardcore play through feels very good. Also the bonus ending for completing NG+ is very good and I recommend people going for that.

Every boss fight in the game gives a very satisfying challenge especially the final boss- extremely well designed. I really hope to see a sequel of some sort to this game!
