I have been playing NTE every day since the global launch in April 2026 and, needless to say, this is an amazing game.

This is actually the first PC gacha game that truly managed to hook me. I've tried Wuthering Waves, Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, Zenless Zone Zero, Punishing: Gray Raven, and several others. The only other gacha game that really clicked with me was Epic Seven on mobile. NTE, however, hits exactly the right spot for me.

There is an incredible amount of content, and every scene feels like it was created with genuine passion and attention to detail. The combat stays fun and never feels repetitive. The visuals are PEAK. The sound design is PEAK. The character designs are PEAK. Overall, it has been an amazing experience, and I genuinely appreciate the developers for creating such a fantastic game.

I mainly wanted to write this review to show some love because this game truly deserves it.

The game is extremely free-to-play friendly.

I am currently Hunter Level 50, have earned over 33 million Fons, obtained four copies of SHINKU (an S-Rank character), have four characters at Level 70 and one at Level 80. At no point did I ever feel like I needed to spend money to progress faster. The only purchase I made was the Dragon Hunter skin for SHINKU because I wanted to support the game.

To be completely fair, I almost quit during my first or second day because I thought I had already seen everything the game had to offer. Thankfully, I decided to give it another chance. That turned out to be one of the best gaming decisions I've made this year.

Absolutely gorgeous. Every area is packed with detail and style.

I'm generally not someone who focuses much on story, so it's difficult for me to judge this category fairly.

F2P Experience: 10/10

At least if you play similarly to how I do.

UI / UX: 10/10

Clean, responsive, and easy to navigate.

Performance: 10/10

On my PC (RTX 4080 SUPER), the game has been buttery smooth at maximum settings without ray tracing. I haven't experienced a single stutter or noticeable lag.

Gameplay: 9.5/10

The gameplay is excellent. The only reason I'm not giving it a perfect score is because the current roster is still relatively small, which limits team compositions and playstyle variety. This will naturally improve as more characters are added over time.

Combat System: 10/10

Without question, the best combat system I've experienced in a 3D gacha game.

Customer Satisfaction: 9.5/10

The developers have been incredibly generous. They regularly give away free S-Rank characters and Annulith (the premium currency). The pity system is also excellent. There is no 50/50 mechanic, you are guaranteed the featured limited character within 80 pulls, and the odds improve after 70 pulls.

Limited-Time Events: 10/10

I have honestly never seen another game produce this much side content in such a short period of time. There have been around 15 different events in only three months.

THEY EVEN CREATED AN ENTIRE PATH OF EXILE-STYLE GAME MODE INSIDE THIS GAME!

Sorry, I had to scream.

Environment / Level Design: 9.5/10

Beautiful environments with excellent world design and great use of space.

In-Game Features: 10/10

Photo mode, an in-game social media platform, character interactions, vehicles, racing, fishing, taxi driving, delivery jobs, the Bond system, multiplayer, home customization, and much more.

I rarely write reviews, but this game genuinely impressed me. If the developers continue supporting it at this level, I can easily see myself playing for years.
