so my mom was getting rid of a bunch of her old earrings, and they included these crazy dangly ones i've had my eyes on since she got them. problem is, they were regular post earrings.
well, she gave them to me and i figured out i could just put them through my kaos hiders and wear them, which worked out splendidly.

Hey guys! I have kind of lurked/commented for a while but this is my first real post.
I'm here to ask for any experiences you guys have with stretching conch piercings. I had them pierced at 14g a few years ago, and I'm a bit squeemish about stretching cartilage. It just seems like it will hurt a hell of a lot more than the lobes. So please send any encouragement/discouragement/tips/pictures you guys have my way!

Just a quick question... for those of you who taped from 3/4" to 1" (or 7/8" to 1") how long did it take you? I'm slowly collecting 1" jewelery in preparation for when I get there and I wanna sort of guesstimate how long it's actually going to take me.

What is the traditional accepted MM of 00g? 10mm, right?
I see everything from 9mm to 10mm, and it makes me wonder. I just got a pair of BEAUTIFUL 00g spring green crystal dichro in today, and while I am absolutely in love with them, they popped right in. I'm a 0g. My caliper says they are 8.8mm. Trying to caliper silicone isn't easy, let me tell ya, but it appears my favorite pair of chaos is 7.5 mm and my pair of GG twists are 8.0, so this wasn't even really a stretch.
What IS 00g supposed to be, anyway?
Oh, second question: How do you determine when you can't stretch up anymore? how thin is TOO thin? I'm trying to get to 1/2 and going real easy, but here at 0g/pseudo 00g, its already so thin its hard to even grab it with my fingertips. I'm beginning to think 00g is all I"m gonna be able to do, unless I let them close up a bit and scalpel or re-stretch. I don't want to re-stretch, and am not sure how much it would help anyway. >.<

Where can I order little decorative baggies for keeping my plugs in?
Edit: Does wearing tear drop plugs effect your holes in any unobvious way?
I'm not surpassing the 14mm Im at just because Im concerned of my thin lobes. (Dumb question ahead) can your ears continue to thin for any reason?

So, I got refunded from a few people, and now have money to spend on plugs. I don't know what I should get, though!
I'm having a hard time deciding whether I should get those moon face plugs, or the bloodwood Om plugs off BAF. Help plz. Opinions, pictures, whatever.
For people who have those moon face plugs, are the flares large? Or are they very slight?
Also, what's the wearable like? I'd be ordering in 7/8" and don't want it too big

New member here, just kinda saying hello and introducing myself. I hopped here from guagetrade and from what I've read the last few days on my friends page, I'm glad to be here. =)
I'm currently at just under 1" with my lobes, though I have been at 1" for over a year now. After an annoying chain of events I got a small tear on my right lobe, which of course is my 'bitch' ear, which has always been tough, slow, and more sensitive to stretching. Rather than downsize (since I don't actually HAVE any smaller jewelry) I just left the earring out for the past two weeks now. The torn side downsized the most, but my left is almost at 1", just a tiny bit under. I got myself some new 1" tapers and some weights, so hopefully I'll be back at the size I should be within a month or so.
Also, I have most of my other piercings at above the 'standard' guage for piercing, but none in any way that's notable other than maybe my vch, which is at 8g, and my septum, which is at a loose 4g currently, and waiting for my 2g stuff to come in the mail so I can work on stretching up. =)

My goal size(as of right now) is 2 inches I'm currently at a little under 1.5". I had a little blowout when my mom decided to tear out my tunnels so i wanted to rest my lobes up a bit. I've been stretching and downsizeing for the past few months because everytime I get back to 1.5" my boyfriend decides to hit them when were have playtime... they sem to heal nicely and then all of a sudden act up a lot. And my lobes are so thin I've been trying to thicken them up but nothing seems to work, I do massages pretty much everyday(when I'm not too busy and forget) ....
Pretty much what I'm getting at is there any other ways besides downsizeing and stretching again and massages that you guys could suggest, I know I need to scalpel but how much do you go up when scalepling? Could they scalpel from 1.5" to 2"? I have A LOT of room between my plugs and the rest of my ear. I've asked a few people and got a ton of differnt answers. Some said I could only go 1/4" bigger with it other said the whole 1/2"...I may sound like an idiot and ranting right now but I'm on no sleep for like 4 days now so I'm all over the place, heh sorry
Also suggest sites that I can buy bigger gauged tunnels and plugs that aren't 200 a pair like baf charges.

I don't think I've ever really posted in here (just lurked) but this is a moment to celebrate! I bought a pair of 00 plugs in September without thinking twice about the fact that 00's can be 9 or 10 mm, and this pair happened to be 10 mm (while I was only at 9mm.) My bitch ear decided it no longer liked stretching, but low and behold after FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS, about ten minutes ago, I was able to get my ear from 9 to 10 mm by slowly taping it with plumbers tape. I am so excited.

Okay guys. The dichro album has been organized and set up...I think it's fairly easy to use, please give feedback!!!! Check it out here!
And like I said in the original post, if you'd like to make contributions, please post pictures of your dichro, but please include the SIZE, BRAND, TYPE, and COLOR. Any contributions will be credited in the album. :)
EDIT:: Okay, I listened to you guys, and did away with the In Ear/Out of Ear sections. Now it's organized by brand first, then it breaks it down into colors. I know a couple of you expressed that you didn't like the color organization, but that was one of the main things I hated about the old dichro album. I didn't like having to guess which color was which; some of them are pretty similar. So now it's very straightforward. Let me know what you think.

K so I'm not much of a heavy poster in this community but I do follow it, and I hope you will be able to provide me some help with my siutation. Some background: A few days ago a tried to stretch up to 6g with tapers but on my left ear it looked as though i had a rather small blowout... the stretch wasn't painful at all, but the skin around the back of the jewelry looked like it had a pale ripple around it.
So I put my 8g tunnels back in and started doing some vit. e oil massages hoping it would help this potential mini blowout. I guess I might have been getting too intense with the oil massages because I just now looked in the mirrow and I have a purpleish bruise on the bottom of my RIGHT lobe... not my left.. the blowout ear.
Has this ever happened to any of you... how should i go about treating my lobe. It doesnt hurt at all...I'm likely not going to be doing any oil massages on that ear for a while. I'm already doing seasalt soaks. Any other ideas you'd like to offer?
Sorry I have no pictures to offer since I'm quite poor.
