Neenetchi (ねぇねっち Nēnetchi), sometimes referred to in English as Nenetchi, is a female adult-stage Tamagotchi who debuted on the Tamagotchi P's in Japan and on the Tamagotchi On internationally.
After her brief cameo in a downloadable game on the P's, she was formally introduced in the GO-GO Tamagotchi! anime series, before appearing as a raisable character on the Tamagotchi 4U and 4U+.
Name Origin[]
Ne (ね) and nē (ねえ) are Japanese words that are used to get attention, having a similar meaning to the English word "hey". Neenetchi uses both terms frequently. Also, Nē-san (ねえさん) and Nē-chan (ねえちゃん) are Japanese terms used to address an older sister. Sometimes Orenetchi calls her Nēne-chan or simply Nēne instead of Nē-chan.
Appearance[]
Neenetchi is a chubby, light pink Tamagotchi with three curls; two on the sides of her head and one on the top. She has a white and dark pink flower on the left side of her head. She wears a yellow under suit and dark pink dress and shoes.
Personality[]
Neenetchi is a very bright and charming Tamagotchi. She is infatuated with Kuromametchi, and is very confident around her crush. She is usually cheerful, but sometimes gets into fights with Orenetchi. She is friends with Himespetchi and they like to admire their crushes together.
Her love catchphrase is "Neenekyun", similar to Himespetchi's "Gigakyun". She also says "Neeneshun" when depressed, similar to Himespetchi's "Gigashun".

Neenetchi is a female adult who can be obtained from any child with a weight of 70g or more, or by receiving 8+ care mistakes. On both the 4U and 4U+, she has one post-adult Personality stage evolution, that being Slim Neene.
Tamagotchi On[]
Neenetchi is an NPC who appears at the Park at My Town, as well as being among the crowd during the marriage animation.
Neenetchi can also appear during several seasonal animations; in the spring, she can be seen with Orenetchi when the user's Tamagotchi or My Tama chases after a cherry blossom petal. In the summer, she appears on stage in the yard and performs a concert with the user's Tamagotchi or My Tama. During October, she appears dressed as a pumpkin and is seen with Kumattatchi and Pukkutchi trick-or-treating at the user's home, and if the Tamagotchi or My Tama refuses to give them candy, the group will pile junk on them and leave.

GO-GO Tamagotchi![]
Neenetchi debuts with her brother Orenetchi in GO-GO Tamagotchi!, becoming a part of the main cast. She attends DoriTama School and is a part of the cheerleading squad. Her house is depicted as yellow and pink. The front part is shaped like Neenetchi's head, whereas the top part has Orenetchi's curl and yellow head decoration. She sleeps at the bottom of a bunk bed, underneath Orenetchi, who sleeps at the top. Neenetchi's blanket has a flower on it that matches the one on her head and there are photos of Kuromametchi on the walls.
In "Gigakyun! Neenekyun! Big Gottsun!?", while in a quarrel over the color of their cheer squad's pompoms, she and Himespetchi bumped into each other, causing them to switch bodies. They had to live out each other's lives until they figured out how to switch back. While spending the night in each other's homes, Himespetchi sees that Neenetchi had thought over the color of their cheer squad's pompoms very thoroughly, and Orenetchi asks Himespetchi in Neenetchi's body when they'll invite Himespetchi over again, saying that Neenetchi said she'll always be Tama-friends with Himespetchi. Meanwhile, Neenetchi in Himespetchi's body discovers an Ai-Ai-Gasa depicting her and Kuromametchi next to one of Himespetchi and Mametchi by Himespetchi's bed. This makes the two of them realize how much the other cares about them, and motivates them make up their differences. During a pair field drawing assignment with Kuromametchi and Mametchi respectively, they try their best not to cause any problems for the other with their crush, but end up making several mistakes due to their stress. However, their drawings end up being shown as the best examples, and with the help of Mametchi, they get their original bodies back.
In "Shining Smiles! Happy Tamaween" she asks Kuromametchi to dance with her and he accepts.

Neenetchi appears in one of the More! Tama Talk at the Earth segments that occurred at the end of the episode.
Other Forms[]
Slim Neene[]
Slim Neene (スリムねぇね Surimu Neene) is a Personality stage variation of Neenetchi on the Tamagotchi 4U/4U+ and in GO-GO Tamagotchi!. Her entire body and face becomes thinner and smaller and her curls are longer and separate from her hair. When Neenetchi diets and exercises, she can take this form.
On the 4U/4U+, she is a post-adult evolution who can be obtained by raising Neenetchi and decreasing her weight to 25g or below. This can be reversed by increasing her weight to 40g or above.
In GO-GO Tamagotchi!, Neenetchi occasionally takes on this form after long periods of strenuous exercise. However, as seen in the episode Neenetchi ♥ Shine!, despite praise from her peers, she is indifferent to her weight and tends to gain it back incredibly quickly.

Orenetchi[]

Orenetchi is Neenetchi's little brother. He is cheerful and energetic but also childish and very mischievous. He habitually calls Neenetchi "neene-chan" or "neene", though he usually corrects himself to "nee-chan" in front of others, and loves and respects her despite occasionally getting into fights with her. The two of them have a shared admiration for Kuromametchi and often talk about him together, with many scenes having Orenetchi's admiration for Kuromametchi being shown in parallel to Neenetchi's crush on him. Although he tries to act more mature in front of others, he sometimes shows a somewhat needy side when alone with Neenetchi, and depends on her more than he lets on.

Neenetchi has a strong crush on Kuromametchi, and makes it no secret. She is very forward toward him, and isn't discouraged by his generally lukewarm responses to her advances.
Himespetchi[]
Himespetchi and Neenetchi are close friends who bond over their respective crushes and always root for each other, and in the episode "Gigakyun! Neenekyun! Big Gottsun!?", it's mentioned that Himespetchi often visits Neenetchi and Orenetchi's house to hang out with them. Even from their first meeting, Himespetchi has always admired and envied how forward Neenetchi is able to be with Kuromametchi, in contrast to her own shyness around her crush on Mametchi.
