Beginning January 2025, U.S. Embassy Lome will accept online fee payments for passport applications. Paying in advance of your appointment will reduce the amount of time you need to spend at the Embassy. See below for fees and payment links.
New passport applications and passport renewals generally take four weeks. Emergency passport applications can take 24-48 hours to process. If you have a travel emergency, please email ConsularLome@state.gov and follow the instructions provided in the autoresponder email. Emergency passports are not processed on weekends or federal holidays.
Beginning January 1, 2025 U.S. Embassy Lome will begin accepting online fee payments for U.S. passport applications. You will still need to appear in person and schedule an appointment in advance. However, paying in advance of your appointment will reduce the amount of time you need to spend at the Embassy. Qualifying passport applicants may pay the appropriate fee online via U.S. or international credit or debit card or Pay Pal. After successfully paying the fee, you must print out the electronic payment confirmation you receive via email and bring it to the embassy with your application on the day of your appointment. Note: All fees are non-refundable. The passport fee is a non-refundable processing fee and is retained by the Department of State whether or not the passport is issued.

You should complete this form if you meet our requirements to renew your passport. Keep in mind that children under age 16 cannot renew their passports and must apply using Form DS-11.
Report and Replace Lost/Stolen Passport (DS-64 & DS-11)
You should complete this form if you lost your passport or it has been stolen. To replace a lost or stolen passport, you must apply in person and submit Form DS-11 in addition to Form DS-64.
