Robert Silverman joined the U.S. diplomatic service in order to learn about the Middle East, a region of the world that fascinated him growing up in Iowa, while at the same time working on behalf of the American people.
Deputy Chief of Mission
Mr. Gaudiosi is a Senior Foreign Service Officer who assumed his duties as DCM for the United States Mission in the Arab Republic of Egypt in June 2026. He served previously in Abu Dhabi as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy beginning in August 2023 and as Chargé d’Affaires from August 2025.
