Pattaya, Thailand – At the Alcazar Cabaret Show in Pattaya, Mr. Sakchai Tangho, a candidate for Pattaya City Mayor, officially launched his “Pattaya 2030” team in front of the media and the public. He announced a bold strategy called the “24-Hour Mayor” designed to overhaul the city’s administrative system, focusing on solving everyday “capillary” problems for residents with immediate results and eliminating bureaucratic delays.
The core of the proposed policy is upgrading the existing 1337 hotline from a complaint center into a full Command Center 24 Hours A Day. This center will have direct authority to issue orders immediately. Assistant mayors will rotate shifts to make decisions on behalf of the chain of command, addressing key public frustrations such as slow government services, difficulty contacting agencies, and complicated paperwork.

In addition, the team, if elected, plans to establish Mobile Action Teams covering four main zones: North, Central, South, and Koh Larn. These rapid-response units want to reach incident sites within 30 minutes and resolve basic issues, like power outages, burst pipes, or obstructions, on the spot without waiting for case-by-case budget approvals.
The campaign also introduced the proposed Pattaya Live Dashboard, a real-time work tracking system accessible via smartphone. Residents will be able to check the status of reports, view staff locations, see before-and-after repair photos, and rate community satisfaction. If work is delayed, the system will automatically alert top administrators.

On the economic front, Sakchai outlined plans to stimulate year-round income through cultural and sports tourism events distributed across all communities in the area to reduce income concentration in tourist hotspots. He also wants to push the Pattaya Skill Hub and connect local businesses, ensuring direct benefits for small entrepreneurs and community enterprises.
Traffic congestion will be tackled seriously, while residents on Koh Larn will gain greater convenience through on-island mobile services for registration and ID cards, reducing the need to travel to the mainland.

Sakchai stated that the “24-Hour Mayor” policy does not mean he will work alone around the clock, but rather that the administrative and communication systems will be restructured so residents can contact city leaders 24 hours a day via phone and social media. Every issue must receive a response within 24 hours, and for urgent matters, executives will personally visit the site.
He stressed that the “Pattaya 2030” team operates independently, with no backing from political parties or major capital groups. The goal is to elevate Pattaya into a world-class leading city by 2030.
During the launch event, the team opened the floor for public feedback, where attendees raised various concerns including traffic jams, public utilities, access to government services, and local livelihood issues. All suggestions will be incorporated into policy development to ensure they truly align with the needs of Pattaya residents.

The event marks the start of Sakchai Tangho’s campaign as an independent candidate in the upcoming Pattaya City Mayor election which will be in the next several months. The Pattaya News will cover each candidate’s promises and plans during this time period to our audience.
