ADAIR PICTURES!!!! [10 Sep 2004|04:02pm]
[ mood | I <3 Adair ]

A month has passed but the memories will forever remain here. I have finally gathered the pics from the Baytown Adair show and Pam and I's road trip to Victoria. These are some of the greatest guys I have met. I wish them luck in all that they do, they deserve it for the love they show their fans.

Sorry so long [13 Aug 2004|05:29pm]
[ mood | calm ]

So the road trip to Victoria kicked our ass! But it was worth it. Pam and I woke up the next morning and dragged our butts to Wal-Mart to drop off the photos of James into one hour. We looked like we had hangovers or something, it was funny. Got back to the house, did some laundry, cleaned up and got ready to hit the road.  Got the pics without scaring anyone this time, and pissed off the photo guy cause we got rid of all her zoo pics and kept only 6 or so with James, lol oops. We left at 2pm. Mapquest estimated our travel time to about 3 1/2 hours. Hmm yah, with little miss speed demon here we were there in 2 tops! Wow was this town dead or what? I thought Huntsville was small and boring, this was a ghost town. But it at least had a Wendy's which we were craving. We killed a good hour there and it was 5 now. The show was to start at 7, that's what the internet said anyway. We found the place, The Odyssey, and it said it was an Auto Insurance place! "What?!" Pam had the brilliant idea that it was just a cover, that the small town people don't want a trashy place around and it is really a big club inside. Ha. Nobody was there yet. We got a bit scared, but the poster was on the door. It said it started at 8! We had three hours to kill, no where to go, and very very very hot! We parked across the street at HEB, the most exciting place there, and tried to take a nap. We checked back at 630 or so and they finally were pulling up, huge relief. We had been thinking the worst, I don't know why. so while they set up we walked around HEB to cool down and give my car a break. Finally 8o'clock arrived and we entered the place...it was a hidden club!!! She's so smart, lol :P What if someone actually wanted car insurance? "Yah I'll have a beer with that insurance. ~James~"We grabbed a table and our heads flopped down in exhaustion, and we were laughing deliriously. As she went out to get the camera, I heard a whistle to the side of me. It was JAMES, he was tuning up his guitar. Pam came back and he came over and gave us hugs and talked with us for a while. She was like" you do not know what we went through to get  here!" He laughed and said he was so happy to see us, he appreciated it. So the night went on, we checked out all the bands, very good...ADAIR was awesome again, Pam nearly blinded Rob while he was singing directly in our faces! Hawthorne Heights didn't show up for some unknown reason, probably cause they got screwed the night before by the Baytown punks. So Dan the merch guy wasn't there; we were sad :(  But we talked the Jeff more (Adair's bassist) he pulled his hamstring while playing, poor thing. The fill-in drummer, Alejandro from Saosin, double looked at us and was like "Whoa! your the girls from last night! Wow, you made it out here, that's so cool!"  That was cute. We continued talking to them the rest of the night, and James began helping load up. He said the band did yell at him for not helping the night before, aww hehe. He brought us to the back at the vans while they were loading and we played with the glow in the dark kick ball and stuff. Everyone was done and Jeff said "alright James whenever your ready. " I was like  "oh hey we got the pictures in my car!" he's like "oh yah let's go see them!" ...he sees the one with him and I "oo we're sexy!" lol. He really wanted us to come make it three in a row to Dallas, but first of all pam couldn't, no money, and no energy. He understood. He gave us like 5 goodbye hugs and kisses on the cheek and we went back to the van to peek in and say bye to the others. They all said bye and thanked us and while we were walking away James told us, "Hey you guys e-mail me and we'll keep in touch okay!" That was so sweet. He made me promise I would drive back home safely... no speeding :) And I did. Ha, even if I wanted to I couldn't have. I was to exhausted my foot couldn't press down any harder than 55 the whole way. It was a great time. The first night we got to know him so well that by the second night felt we were seeing our friend's band instead of just a band that we adore. It was an awesome feeling. We got back to Pam's and crashed out after thinking about how much we were going to miss him until next time :(  Tons of fun. Pam is coming up to my apartment next weekend for Projekt Revolution, so I should have the pictures soon after that. I just now scanned her old pictures that I borrowed so I will post them up next.....till then.

Hmm, let's see *hand weights* Splashtown? _ or road trip to see ADAIR again? Wow, tough decision when all_honey_24  and I have been personally invited by their guitarist, JAMES!!!!!

Ha, yah that's right, I told you they rocked. Pam and I went out to Baytown tonight to see them and they were great needless to say. After their set, which took hours to come because there were a million local bands first, two of which were absolutely TERRIBLE!!! During their show James was making eye contact with us the entire time; he was happy that we were actually singing along. He threw his pick down to me! Eventually he came out to my car, funny story. We talked the rest of the night until everybody was gone and his bandmates probably were mad b/c he wasn't leaving us, lol. I hope not.Dan the merch guy for Hawthorne Heights also hung out for a bit. He was cool. They were willing for us to kidnap them to my house, if only the van wasn't blocking me in we would have been off! lol. We took some good pictures that hopefully I will get soon. It was unbelievable. I have met plenty of bands, but to hang out with them like that was so great. Not since chillen with The Hippos has that happened. They personally invited us to go see them in Victoria tomorrow...screw Splashtown, haha! Man if Pam can find a way to get her brother a sitter, we are going to Dallas too! Ha, we are crazy:)

Alright road trip, here we come....

So I am so stoked to say that I will be seeing them again this WED 08/04/04: SALVATION SKATE PARK 5334 East Rd.Baytown, TX 77521 281-421-0447 Doors at 7:00pm All Ages - $8

If you love great music you must be there. Glasseater, Hawthorne Heights, and Calicosystem will be with them. All very good as well. You can check them all out on purevolume.com

Okay there is my promotion...

Pamela, all_honey_24 is coming over to my new house for the first time! I'll give her the tour and show her around my new town. She's staying for a few days and we are going together Wed night to see ADAIR, she was with me that night when we fell in love with them. Such a beautiful night. I have alas converted her after 11 yrs of friendship to my side of music. All it took was bringing her to her first concert! She still loves her rap, but she has opened her mind to new, more talented, genres. I'm so proud :) lol. I'll take her to see my sis and her preggo belly with baby Sebastion! (they are testing out that name, but it is most likely to stick). Then Thursday we are off to Splashtown! It's like 10min from my house, so excited. I was such an under privileged child; never been to a water park but once when I was 7 and we got rained out:(  These few days should we awesome. I'll let you know...Till then.

Update [29 Jul 2004|03:36pm]
[ mood | energetic ]

^All Hail The Moving Picture Box...that's my buddy Hat singing. I went monday with Dustin and Linda to check them out at Fitz. They rocked out with their cock out, hehe, well almost. Hat and his wonderful pant dropping stage presence :) They put on a great show, and it was fun to see Hat again, I really missed him. He's leaving Sam to pursue his music and good luck to them, I know they will make it. Afterward we hit up Rucchi's with the band and got terribly lost on the way, but it was a wonderful tour of Houston! They are going to play a show in Corpus, and Hat said he may steal me away for the road trip so I can see my Josh :) That would rock.

Yesterday was super. First Stevo and Tim dropped by my house and chilled for a bit. We watched some Birdcage, Nathan Lane is such a pimp. Lol. Then we headed to Stevo's and dropped Tim off at work. Stevo and I got some yummy Sonic and came back to my place to watch That 70's Show.

Couple hours after he left, Dustin and Linda called to hang out. They picked me up and I gave them the tour of my new house, they met the folks, and we were off to Mountasia! Linda kicked our butts in miniature golf, and of course I was last like the big dork I am, hehe. We tried to hit up the yummy 59 Diner,  but they were about to close and wouldn't seat us, grrr! So Dustin treated us to Bennigan's, such the gentlemen, and we talked about everything from our love of music to old cartoons to the video games we grew up on until we had to be kicked out, ha! We jammed the streets for a good hour screaming our lungs out to 3 different Incubus cd's. Dustin showed us his amazing skills of picking out the correct cd without looking in his case of 315! Very impressive. We made it back to my house in time for Aqua Teen Hunger Force! Linda passed out and Dustin and I continued to watch Beavis&Butthead, music videos, and a sweet marathon of Three's Company. Then it came close to my parents waking up, about 5am, so they were off and I crashed.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...till next time.

It's my buddie Hat's band, and they fuckin' rock...you better be there!

~Things didn't go quite as it was planned this weekend, but I saw my man and that is all that counts. David's dad had a business thing he had to get back home to which cut their trip short. So no quality time, but I had fun helping them out in their new house! It is so sweet, out in the middle of the woods, very roomy, big backyard, each have their own room. They really lucked out; whoever lived there before left everything! All the dishes, pots, pans, things in the attic and garage. They don't have to worry about anything. Many great memories are to come in that house :)

Good things come in Great packages [23 Jul 2004|01:05am]
[ mood | happy ]

I have to say yesterday was a kick ass day! My sister and her man Rob have been in major slumps lately with no jobs and a baby on the way, very scary stuff. But yesterday they got showered with nothing but great news. To start the day Rob finally got a permanent job working full time for stewart &stevenson! That is such a major relief off their backs, and mine b/c I worry about them a lot.  She also got a call for a potential temp to perm job! Then I had the privilege of going to the baby appointment with them. I heard the heart beat first, so amazing, then we waited for the ultrasound. We all wanted a boy. and started placing our bets. I said girl simply b/c it is always a girl, but my gut was seriously thinking a boy. We get in there and begin to see the spine and when we saw the butt and legs we began crying, and then the words came from the lady "well IT'S A BOY!" We collapsed in happiness. Such an unforgettable moment. As she was packing up I said "bye baby!" and we actually saw nothing but the hand and it was waving bye! no kidding! When we were walking to the car I told robbie, "Good shot man!" hehe, so happy it's a boy! If you wanna see pics, check out her Lj.

Then we went out and she treated me to chinese fooood! She converted me. I underestimated my liking of chinese food, but this place was amazing, we had to go again today!

Later, about 930pm, Stevo called me up in the mood for some Tweek :) He and Dustin happened to be at the gas station next to my sister's place. So I met up with them and chilled there for a bit when we decided to drop my car back at my sis's, and just go for a drive up 45N. Stevo and Dustin have gotten really bored before and just driven to San Antonio and back one night just for the hell of it; so we decided "Hey lets go to Dallas!" Stevo's like "now stop us cause we will go!" I was all up for it and we made it as far as Conroe, but Stevo's mom called and the deal was off. So we turned around picked up my bathing suit and headed over to Tim's house, where he, jaime, and stinger were. I got to hang out with my buddies. OOO wow, we drove around, swam in the back yard, watched Pitch Black, and drank...shhh!....DR Skipper! Man, just nothing but trouble happening after 10pm let me tell you. hehe :) So happy I was staying at my sister's, I got to actually have fun. I got home about 3am, and passed out on the couch. Good times!

I love how Dustin and especially Stevo, watch out for me. Tim jokingly put his arm around me and said "hey wanna make out?" and my boys had the funniest face "man you do not want to be in the rath of circuit!...." It was great; I guess you had to be there :)They have so much respect for my josh I love it. They know he is the greatest ever. When a group of about 10 of your best guy friends tell you he is the best boyfriend ever and "don't let him go!" that has to tell you something. Saturday just can't get here fast enough! Till next time people, I'm out! ;D

Random Thoughts [09 Jul 2004|12:21am]
[ mood | contemplative ]

I really miss my life up at Sam. School will be here before you know it, but it just seems like forever! Of course not having the stress of classes and working is a great escape, but at the same time it drives me crazy doing nothing, I need my mind fulfilled. Things should be interesting this semester, everyone is getting their own place and such. Ben and I are already planning on partying it up, and 'HuntsVegas' is a small town, so never too far from our buddies. I can't wait be able to see my josh's face every single day again. This living in Corpus thing really sucks, but whatcha gonna do? He's coming up the weekend of the 23rd to go work on the house him, Dk, and David got. That should be fun. But for now I guess I will enjoy the rest of my summer.

~There is about to be production on The Boondock Saints2-All Saints Day- OMG! I am extremely excited, that is my favorite movie of all time, as you can see with my new setup here. If you haven't seen it, Where the hell have you been?!!! On Sale $9.99 at Wal-Mart, Go buy it! Best ten bucks you will ever spend in your life. ~

Love you- Good Times to all-till next time ~Tweek~

"Couldn't wait for the summer at the Warped Tour" [02 Jul 2004|04:58pm]
[ mood | pleased ]

Warped Tour kicked ass as expected. This was the best lineup since I started going back in '99. Music wise it has exceeded the rest. The crowds were wild, I loved it. We almost got trampled during Thursday in the front and center, but I got to enjoy it. I met Flogging Molly :) And Juliette and the Licks( who is Juliette Lewis, the gang bang chick in Oldschool; she is so badass). Got Story of the Year's autograph again, however Pam got it for me, it ran right into my Alkaline Trio and I wasn't going to miss them for anything, especially since I already met them; But SOTY kicked ass once again, but I think it will be hard to top the show at Number's. Rocked out to Bad Religion and got plenty of photos for Stevo:) Found Ricky crowd surfing over our heads during Yellowcard; priceless moment. Randomly found Roswell sitting around and chilled with him for a bit. Gained a new interest in a band called The RIVER CITY REBELS, </a>go check them out, the dude was awesome and I pinky swore him I would look them up and promote, so go, love them, adore the sexy punk men, Go! It was hot as always, and I got a rudolph nose :P But the rain finally came in and helped us out.  It was an awesome time. You should forget about saving the money and come out next year! It is well worth it. I am going to pick up my pictures today, so I will post them up later, I can't wait to see them! Until then here is a doodle of the bands I checked out, Collapse )

Good Times [28 Jun 2004|12:58am]
[ mood | loved ]

The past week has been quite eventful. For starters my birthday. Now I didn't have a big hoopla, just didn't feel like it, 19 is a pretty worthless celebration. It sort of felt like any other day, but a good one at that. My mother took me out shopping at the Woodlands Mall, got some great american cookies, yum :P, and I finally saw the new Harry Potter! It was super. My joshua couldn't make it up, he had to work from 8-7, so I was pretty bummed about that. Stevo said he would take me out soon to celebrate, so I'm looking forward to that :)

Tuesday the celebration continued. My parents and I along with my Uncle Dick and Gary went to a really fancy steakhouse called Vic&Anthony's. Everything was absolutely melt in you mouth amazing! Then we walked across the street to see the Astros vs Pirates game at Minute Maid Park. It was my first time, I loved it. The Astros won as well so it made it worthwhile.

Wednesday we were off to our family vacation we have every June. We had gone to lake LBJ outside of Austin, but we moved our spot to Del Lago on Lake Conroe. We had villas on the lake, very nice. Dick had his party boat equipt with a mini fridge, stove, coffee maker, blender, running water w/a sink, and a potty. It was very sweet and it actually got up to 48mph with the top up! We anchored the Boat and went swimming with the fishes, tube riding, jet skiing, water skiing, caught me some catfish, all around a really fun time. My stepdad's second cousins had come out who are around my age. The youngest is my age, Laura. She goes to Sam as well, she was a badass chica and we will definitely be hanging out when the semester starts.

....My joshua surprised me Thursday. He made someone cover his shift and made a road trip with his mom to come and see me! His Uncle Bruce lives in Conroe and they were coming for the night and leaving in the morning to pick his little bro&sis up from college station. He came and picked me up at the lake and met my dad's family. No surprise, he made a great impression on them. He stole me away to go to dinner with his mom and his uncle and family. It was great. They were telling story after story just cracking me up! We tried to get a hold of mister Stevo to chill out with him, but that didn't work out, so we returned to the lake after a while. We talked with family and went on a walk around the resort. It was like a dream, we missed eachother so much. He gave me my birthday present before dinner. I loved it of course. He got me a new guitar chord, really nice, mine was all ratty and too short. He also got another charm for my braclet from James Avery. It is an acoustic guitar :D He did good, but really just him coming to see me was all I needed, that meant the world.  Gushy I know, but the truth.

Friday I was set for another badass year at the Vans Warped Tour. I skipped out on the family and drove all the way to Reliant. I signed up for text messages from the site, and unfortunately as I pulled out of McDonald's to head on over the text said it was postponed till Monday to be safe! It was pouring down all week. That was crappy. I actually was looking forward to it b/c it is always so burning hot! But It worked out for the better I guess. I made the long drive back to the lake and went tubing. I think this is the best lineup yet, it better kick ass for all this trouble and I'm sure it will.

I got back home today about one pm. My Uncle Frank came over and I made them watch Big Fish. That is one of the greatest movies. I can't help but shed a tear everytime, makes me think of my daddy who passed away :_/  Right now I am at miss Pammywa's house since it is closer to Reliant than I am. I've been spending my time on this instead of chillin' with her, so I guess I better be off. Sorry so long, you wouldn't have read it if you didn't care so bwahahahaha. Lol, anywho, Till next time everybody.
