I was a certified public librarian which is a little like being just plain "certified" (insane), but with a compulsion to answer any question I overhear. I spent 25 years with a mid-size public library doing a variety of functions, but my main passions were books and computers. I was the library's database administrator for the last seven years that I worked. Then I got really sick and had to go on disability. I don't have anything that will kill me, but it won't go away either.

Current activities are: online volunteer work, trying to write fan fiction, embroidery, reading [a lot], and being bossed around by the feral cat who decided to move into my house several years ago.

My current goal is to become a wise old crone and not just a dirty old woman. I don't think the two are mutually exclusive though.
