This is a community for fanfiction based on both the Vampire Diaries books and TV series. Fanfiction of all ratings, lengths and genres is allowed. Drabbles, multi-arc fics, adult, AU, crossovers, slash, works-in-progress... we love them all.

COMMUNITY RULES & GUIDELINES
  • Fanfiction only, please. You're welcome to post icons and art over at userinfotvd_fans and Fell's Church Gallery.

  • Headers (above) must be visible at the top of a post with the actual fanfic under an LJ-cut (instructions on how to use the LJ-cut).

  • Links to fanfiction on your own websites and journals (just don't lock the posts on your LJ, or people can't read them) are fine, but you still need to include the header info above in your post to the community.

  • Fics with adult content must be friends locked with clear content warnings.

  • Fanfic must be Vampire Diaries-based. No real person fic based on the actors, please. You can head over to
    userinfotvd_rps for that.

  • Please put warnings for content that some readers may not like - deathfic, violence, non-con, slash, het, fluff... you get the idea. ;)

  • Read the content warnings. If you don't like a particular type of fanfic (deathfics or slash, for example) then don't read it.

  • The Vampire Diaries must feature heavily in any crossover fanfics - it has to be more than a passing mention or a brief character cameo.

  • Tags are your friend. Please tag your fanfics appropriately so that it makes your fic easier to find. You can find a list of the community tags here.

  • No flaming. If you can't be constructive with your criticism, keep it to yourself. Rudely saying you don't like something doesn't help anyone.

  • No advertising your websites or communities without asking. Only Vampire Diaries and fanfiction projects will be given permission.

  • Trolls will be eaten. Then banned.

  • New rules and guidelines may be added as the need for them arises.
