Welcome!
This is the new website for the North American Conference on Chinese Linguistics, officially launched on 2 November 2025. This website replaces an earlier one at <naccl.osu.edu>.
NACCL is an annual Chinese linguistics conference that is hosted by different institutions in North America. It was first held at The Ohio State University in 1989.
Besides links to past, current, and upcoming NACCL conferences, this website also houses the NACCL Proceedings Online or, in some cases, has links to the proceedings housed at that conference’s host institution.
The upcoming NACCL conference — NACCL-39 (2027) — will be held jointly with the 2027 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Language Teachers Association (CLTA).

The preceding NACCL conference — 38th North American Conference on Chinese Linguistics (NACCL-38) — was hosted by Professors Hongyuan Dong and Hang Zhang at George Washington University in Washington, DC, on 8-10 May 2026.
If all goes well, we hope to host NACCL-40 in spring 2028 at The Ohio State University, 40 years since OSU inaugurated this conference series!
