You’ll explore big ideas, develop changemaker skills and collaborate with other motivated young people – all in a setting that reflects the values and diversity of the UWC movement.
UWC short courses are designed for a wide range of participants, including young people and, in some cases, adults. Check individual course pages for age requirements and countries eligible.

On a UWC short course, you’ll:

Key information
- Courses vary in length, from just a few days to multiple weeks
- In-person and online formats are available
- Most short courses take place June-August, with a few at other times of the year
- Programmes are open to a variety of age groups – most courses are for young people aged 13–20, but some are designed for adults or even younger participants
- Places are limited
- Most courses charge a fee to cover tuition, accommodation, meals and activities, but financial support is available based on need
- Participants usually pay for their own travel, visas and spending money
