An original Vampire Fiction contest community
All genres, pairings, and ratings are welcome here. This includes yaoi and yuri so if these things squick you, this might not be the place for you.
Critique is always welcome, but no bashing or flaming is allowed. Doing so will earn you one warning from a moderator, then if the behavior continues, you will be banned.
Please know basic spelling and grammar before posting your fiction.
It pains me to say this but....no fanfiction. The purpose of this community is ORIGINAL fiction.
When entering a contest, please be sure that the fiction you are submitting is new, written specifically for the prompt. If it is discovered that your fic was already in existence, it will be disqualified.
This is an adult moderated community. All members must be 18+ with the year of their birth posted in their profiles in order to be approved for membership.
Contests
Prompts will run on a bi-weekly basis. This means that a prompt will be given then you must write a piece by interpreting the prompt however you like, staying within the given word limit. Sounds simple enough, right?
At the end of the prompt, voting will commence. Banners will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Voting
At the conclusion of each prompt, a voting post will be put up. You must choose your three favorite fics in order of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. If you do not follow this simple rule, your vote will not be counted.
You may vote based on whatever preferences you like, but be warned: No sock-puppet accounts in order to vote for your own fic. I will also add that you should not vote for a fic simply because it was written by your “friend.” Vote for the entries that YOU FOUND TO BE BEST.
