NOTE: We are expanding the tour for 2027! We will include more households, with the hope of easing pedestrian congestion on the day of the tour.

CAT TOUR HISTORY: The cat tour concept was originated by John Edwards in 2017 in the Wedge neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. After years of walking the neighborhood and posting window cat photos to the internet, he recognized an opportunity for the world’s first cat walking tour. The early years of the tour drew only dozens, but today the tour draws thousands of cat tourists to Minneapolis and inspires a global community of cat people.
