Governance

The Faraday Institution has a strong governance structure, with multiple groups providing independent oversight, advice and guidance and forums for community engagement.

Board of Trustees

Trustees bring multifaceted perspectives and experiences from academia, industry, and public service to the role of advising the Faraday Institution.

Expert Panel

An advisory body combining some of the world’s eminent battery experts from academia and industry with our Principal Investigators that guides our research programme.

EDI Working Group

Comprising FIHQ staff and EDI champions – one researcher from each project – that inform Faraday Institution policy and practice and embed best EDI practice.

Training and Diversity Panel

Advising the organisation on how best to achieve its ambitious aims of creating a dynamic, diverse, driven pool of talent, and bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise from academia, industry and the public sector.

Training Champions

The main point of contact in each project that can advise on and sign-post training opportunities, give guidance on the use of the annual training budget and champion professional career development.

Leading on initiatives for early career researchers such as training and career development events and signposting.
