Anj Baker was raised in rural Appalachia but now lives in suburban Illinois, in the USA. A 2024 graduate of the Clarion Writers’ Workshop, they write mostly speculative fiction, but have been known to try out new things. They’re quite happy to be alive, even though it’s hard most of the time.

Annika Barranti Klein cannot seem to stop adopting cats. She only has two so far, but the Cat Distribution System knows where she lives—in a tiny apartment in Los Angeles with her family and more books than she can possibly read in one lifetime. Her short fiction and poetry have appeared in Asimov’s, CRAFT, Fireside, The Future Fire, Kaleidotrope, Weird Horror, Worlds of Possibility, and more; her novels are represented by Kate McKean at Howard Morhaim Literary Agency. She was the guest editor for Interstellar Flight Magazine‘s 2024 flash fiction series.

Ava DeVries is a Creative Writing student at Western Washington University. Before moving to Bellingham, she grew up in Olympia, WA, and spent her teenage years in the cursed corner of the United States known as southeastern Florida.
