Depending on the type of vaccinations that are recommended, you may be able to get vaccinated at your local pharmacy or medical practice. Following a vaccination review and risk assessment by our travel medicine doctor, referral and/or e-scripts will be sent to the vaccination provider. Healthy Travel also has partner vaccination clinics for Yellow Fever.
Absolutely. Your travel medicine doctor will tailor your medical kit to your travel destination(s) and personal health considerations. The medical kit will then be packaged and delivered to your door.
Unfortunately, no. Medicare rebates for phone and telehealth are restricted to patient’s that have been seen face-to-face within the last 12 months in a physical medical practice. As a specialist provider of telehealth travel medicine, our services are not eligible for Medicare rebates. View our fees.
We understand that plans and appointments need to be changed at the last minute. We ask that where possible, please cancel your appointment at least 24 hours so not to incur a cancellation/ non-attendance fee.
Failure to attend an appointment or a cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a cancellation fee, up to 100% of the cost of your appointment. Ahead of your appointment you will be sent a form to complete with your travel details including destination(s), duration, style of travel/ accommodation, and activities (e.g. cruising, scuba diving, trekking etc.). You will also be asked to complete a brief health questionnaire and provide a copy of your vaccination records.
