You Better Reconsider

Rode up to the deli on my bike to turn-in a lotto $20 ticket I won from New Year's Eve and the clerk thought my driver's license was fake and I wasn't over 18 years-old.

To prove to him that I was indeed 22, I unzipped my parka, hoping the fact that I'm a full-grown woman would help. All he saw was the Amazing Spider-man shirt, and he told me to take my bike home.

My last Gamer's Grasp of the year (maybe ever if I can't write it after I start my new job as Managing Editor) is number one on the site.

After 2 hours of forcing myself to stay in the library I've come to discover a few things:

1.) The Library is not that quiet - it's just filled with a lot of people trying to whisper. And they can't whisper so it just sounds like "WHISS WHISS WHISSS WHISSS" and it's creepy and people need to stop doing that.

2.) There are never outlets near where you are. Even if you move to someplace where you saw an outlet, the second you sit down it will disappear only to reappear right next where you just moved from. And it's occupied. By someone who does not look friendly.

3.) The Library has terrible chairs that create back-pain to the point that you will need to stretch out on the floor to readjust your spinal cord.

4.) Stretching out on the Baruch College Library floor is frowned upon.

So I'm in a relationship again. It's weird cause even though me and hat kid have been broken up for months and he's moved onto brown-stoner girl it was weird for me to like...move on. Sure I was single and fucking around with a bunch of people but it wasn't until dimitris came that i as like OH I WANNA DATE AGAIN cause hat kid was just such a chore and i wanted something solid

he's super sweet and really likes me but what sucks is that unlike hat kid who had his own place in brooklyn this fucker still lives with his parents in queens which is only like..20 mins away by car but it's an hour by train and its just so sdfghjkkjh frustrating cause i was a bit spoiled with Hat Kid cause we would just fuck around at his place for days and it was cool but with dimitris we both gonna run to catch trains and find places at school to fuck around and it's a bit annoying...

I told him to come visit me on LI so I can finally introduce a boyfriend to my 'rentz that i'm not super embarrassed of
YAYYYYY FEELINGS AND STUFF  

Chilling with Sharkbait, being a single lady. 

Kissing all da dudes, flirting with some peeps, getting drunk on Thursdays, making dough twice a week. 

So Hat Kid and I decided to just be friends. The whole relationship was kind of forced, and really wasn't working for either of us. 
However, it's that uncomfortable gray area between "are we REALLY friends? or did we just say that to make the other feel better" situation.

We'll see. It's been a few days and I keep having to fight myself on whether I should text him yet or not. I haven't yet because that would be weird and really the less I interact with him the less likely I am to fuck everything up.

I feel kind of bad that it didn't work out, but I always had my doubts about this whole dating thing. Still, it lasted longer than I thought it would mmmhmmm.

My brother got a Snuggie for christmas, so I'm just wearing the shit out of it. It looks so stupid, but is so damn warm.

Nothing big is going on so far. Hat Kid may come up to visit next weekend, then the weekend after I'll probably trek to Brooklyn to spend the weekend with him. I told him money may be an issue now that Seamus went and kicked it, but he said he'd pay for me. So we'll see.

Sienna wants to go up to Boston this weekend, but I really don't want to go because of the aforementioned money situation, and also I don't like taking off work too much if I can avoid it.

Gotta work hours to make money and get bitches, yo.

This morning Cesar (the old Science editor) texted me to tell me that he found this girl named Nozima who wants to be my assistant this semester. I told him to have her send me an email and we've been talking. 

She's a science student - which it's great because even though I'm the Science editor now I know jack shit about the sciencey going-ons at Baruch, I'm more of a Tech girl anyway. We've been going back and forth and she said how she's been interested in taking up the section but hasn't written for us, or has even come to a single production, and is on academic overload because she's taking all science classes...uh huh...

Well, hopefully she can at least help me with interviews and stuff. She seems pretty put together, and I could use all the help I can get.

Let's see what happens come January when it's time for actual production and if she's still interested when it's 2am and I'm still fighting with inDesign and crying over my keyboard.

For the record, it's not cool to tell someone they're working, then tell them not to come in, and then an hour before tell them to come in and expect that they won't be at a little bit of an inconvenience.
