Success stories

Trusted by universities worldwide

I use memoQweb in the “Introduction to Translation Technologies” course I teach at the University of Moncton. Both user-friendly and featuring all the important functionalities, the software is highly appreciated by students. On the lecturer’s side, the platform offers great adaptability. And let’s not forget to mention the impeccable training and technical support provided by the memoQ team. I recommend it to all translation professors!

Arianne Des Rochers

Associate Professor, l’Université de Moncton

The memoQ University Program is undoubtedly one of the most valuable opportunities currently available in the translation industry. Providing my students with access to a powerful tool they would not otherwise have had is both democratizing and commendable. memoQ also offers vetted one-on-one mentoring (thank you for your patience and insights, Anna!), tailored to the specific needs and expertise of each program tutor. Through this support, senior translation students can learn to use this CAT tool—and, by extension, any CAT tool—empowering them and paving their professional paths. I highly recommend joining the memoQ University Program, and I look forward to replicating this experience in my future courses.

Ignacio Leturia

tutor, ISPI Estela Guinle de Cervera

As an Assistant Professor at the School of Arts and Social Sciences at Hong Kong Metropolitan University, I have found memoQ to be an invaluable tool in both teaching and learning. From a teacher’s perspective, its professional-grade features, project management options, and terminology tools allow me to design realistic translation tasks and introduce students to authentic industry workflows. My students consistently comment on how intuitive and user-friendly memoQ is, and how its translation memory and termbase functions help them work more efficiently and confidently on complex assignments. Many of them say that using memoQ in class makes them feel better prepared for internships and future employment in the translation industry. By integrating memoQ into our curriculum, we are not only enhancing students’ technical and professional skills, but also strengthening the connection between university training and the real needs of the translation market.

Venus Chan Wing Man

Assistant Professor, Hong Kong Metropolitan University

The memoQ university program has proven to be an essential resource for translation students. It gives them the opportunity to work more efficiently and gain a better understanding of real professional contexts. It also helps them navigate their practical courses with more confidence, as they learn how to use and manage the resources available in memoQ.

Inês Lucas

Invited Lecturer, NOVA University of Lisbon

Discovering and exploring memoQ was a major achievement by students in my CAT Tools for Translators course taught in Fall 2025. Thanks to the pre-session orientation by Anna and the guest lecture by Adil, we were able to grasp and practically apply the functionalities of memoQ. It was such an enjoyable experience. memoQ made the end-of-semester translation project so easy and smooth for my students. Thank you, team memoQ. Cheers to more collaboration!

Segun Afolabi, PhD

Assistant Professor, Université de Regina

The memoQ university program helped us not only have the necessary tools for translation technology classes, but also helped us ensure students could keep using memoQ throughout the BA and MA programs while completing a thorough training using an advanced CAT tool. It has been invaluable throughout the years!

Marco Neves

Assistant Professor, NOVA University of Lisbon

As part of the Master’s program in Trilingual Legal and Financial Translation, Paris Sorbonne Nouvelle University has established an academic partnership with memoQ that allows its students—future translators—to become familiar with this CAT tool. They are encouraged to use it for the various translation assignments they complete during their studies. memoQ’s customer service team was extremely helpful in installing the software on various computers in the computer lab and in facilitating access to it via the students’ intranet accounts.

Marie-Pierre Gérard

Technical translator and CAT-tool trainer, Université Sorbonne Nouvelle

I really enjoyed discovering memoQ: the software is easy to learn and very comprehensive. The interface is super user-friendly, which allows me to use memoQ efficiently. It is a tool that I will certainly use again in my career, as it is the CAT software I am most proficient with.

Julie Baran Debelvalet

Master ILTS, Université Paris Cité

We were fortunate to be part of the memoQ University Program and to introduce the memoQ tool to our Translation MA students at the Department of French and Francophone Studies at the University of Zadar. Not only did we receive free one-year licences, but we also participated in the online university training programme organised by Anna Mohácsi-Gorove, which was delivered over five sessions. In addition, we were provided with video recordings of the training, allowing students to review the material and practise the exercises at their own pace. This combination of guided instruction and flexible learning proved especially valuable for consolidating knowledge. Through this programme, students became familiar with a wide range of memoQ features and gained a strong appreciation for its logic and the efficient solutions it offers. Overall, the training significantly improved our students’ digital literacy and CAT tool competence providing a solid foundation that will support their future careers for other digital tools. We warmly recommend the memoQ University Program to any translation department looking to bridge the gap between academic training and professional practice.
