Oh typical wegra, complaining about nonexistent issues!
Greed. False hope. Something along the lines of that.
Because if you just walked past your neighbor without saying hello, it would be very rude.

I dont know Wegra I dont know
As the only Hello Neighbor fan I can say it's money. It's tinyBuild's biggest IP and it is still somehow big among kids. The first one didn't need all those spinoffs and it shows tinyBuilds biggest issue is that they don't focus on one project at a time. At one point they worked on up to 3 different Hello Neighbor games at once and all of them came out half baked.

A majority of tinyBuild's shares are owned by Atari, ever since the latter acquired the rights to Totally Reliable Delivery through the revived Infogrames brand.
Thus, giving Atari partial ownership of the Hello Neighbor IP in the technical sense.

Atari also saved tinyBuild from bankruptcy early 2025

That's a huge win.

This.

Plus Hello Neighbor 3 is in the making. Reminder that the original Hello Neighbor got awful reviews from critics and fans yet they made it in to a big series with games, books, a TV show with a 3rd season coming and a movie in the early stages.
I don't even understand how people like those games in the first place. The art style is ugly and the gameplay is ass

I'm guessing that it's the same reason that there's always a deluge of cheap horror movies popping up. Cheap to make and easy to sell

Their true market is children, who learn about the game from kid-friendly youtubers.

What are you talking about? The ad blurb right there says that it was "genre-defining"! We all know every stealth horror game released since the immaculate gift from God that is Hello Neighbor has been taking notes, studying and struggling in vain to reach the same heights. I submit that there is nothing beyond the peak that is Hello Neighbor; it is a masterclass in design and will never be topped. Every dev trying to top it should simply give up.

ChatGPT cries itself to sleep knowing it will never be on the same level as the revolutionary, state-of-the-art AI featured in the groundbreaking hit of the century, Hello Neighbor. This is a work of art which not only defined a genre and set a new standard for the entire gaming industry, but raised the bar for the very act of artistic expression itself. What does it mean to be an artist? To express oneself through art? Why, look no further than Hello Neighbor.

I mean I guess I kinda like it but I like playing it more with mods on
i dont know what the fuck their up to today, but the original concept of a break in game with a guy who learns from eatch attempt and adapts was really cool, it would have been neat of then to go all in on that instead of whatever bonkers nonsense they did
They make more games for the money
