SEATALES vision

SEA TALES aims to support teachers of primary and secondary education to develop competences and knowledge so as to integrate Ocean Literacy education through role-playing activities in their classrooms and introduce students to its concept and principles for building a generation of ocean literate, active and responsible citizens.

Our Goal

SEA TALES comes to fill in OL gaps by embedding an innovative, inclusive and action-oriented educational programme into school communities which will support teachers of primary and secondary education and their students into understanding how we as individuals influence the ocean and how the ocean influences us, which is the core of ocean literacy.

Teachers of primary and secondary education in understanding ocean-related themes and concepts and improving their practices, knowledge and skills by training them on how to incorporate OL into different subjects such as science, biology, geography, language, arts, etc.

Students of primary and secondary education who are forming the future generation and are the main agents of change towards environmental sustainability in order to promote more sustainable practices and change behaviors for helping to protect the ocean and its resources.

External stakeholders from marine science associations, environmental institutions, science museums and aquariums to relevant educational experts on ocean and marine related themes and local and regional authorities.
