Cory Newton
Adopted an orphaned profile ACW profile, Daniel W Newton (abt.1839-1862). Researched Daniel, completing his Civil War service picture with service records, dates of death, etc. In researching family and trying to connect to parents and potential siblings, I researched multiple Widow's Pension applications. Uncovered the likelihood that his marriage was probably a fraud, and perhaps part of a bigger case involving a doctor and multiple fraudulent pension applications.
