    What a tragic few days for the @ILStatePolice. On Thursday, Trooper Brooke Jones-Story was struck by a truck tractor semi trailer while on a traffic stop. This morning, they lost Trooper Gerald Ellis when his squad car was struck head on by a wrong-way driver. May they RIP 💔

    If Deputy Kunze had not kept fighting in his dying moments, Sheriff Jeff Easter says, at least two other people could have been murdered.
    Investigators collect evidence at the scene of a shooting on 295 St West and 21st N, west of Wichita Monday Morning. A 12-year veteran of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Robert Kunze was shot while responding to a suspicious character call Sunday afternoon. The suspect in the shooting was also killed.
    In his dying moments, sheriff’s Deputy Kunze saved at least two lives
