    A new survey suggests TikTok is a meaningful driver of a surge in antisemitism. #TikToxic Spending at least 30 minutes a day on TikTok increases the chances a respondent holds antisemitic or anti-Israel views by 17% (compared with 6% for Instagram and 2% for X).

    Kaggle is famous for machine learning competitions. Less well known is our datasets platform, which is a treasure-trove of great datasets (kaggle.com/datasets). Over the coming months, I'm going to be Tweeting interesting data from it to showcase what's there.

    Anti-Israel content is dominating on TikTok among 18-24 year-olds: 447MM views vs 16.5MM views in the last 30 days The top anti-Israel hashtag on TikTok is #freepalestine, and the top pro-Israel hashtag is #standwithisrael. Raw data comes from TikTok and is available here for

    Spoke to a data scientist who was frustrated that his company decided to buy a proprietary demand forecasting system when the performance of his XGBoost model was so much stronger. His solution: he fed his XGBoost forecasts into the proprietary system as a feature 😂

    mlcourse.ai is a 10-week course that starts tomorrow. It was created with input from a bunch of Kaggle Grandmasters. Starts with manipulating data using Pandas. covers feature engineering, time series forecasting and training using GBMs.

    This is not surprising when you consider that for every view of a TikTok video with a pro-Israel hashtag in the US, there are 54 views of videos with pro-Palestinian hashtags. In fact, FreePalestine is currently one of the top-performing hashtags across all of TikTok.

    TikTok users are more likely to believe Jewish people are dishonest in business, are disloyal to America, and have too much power in the media. They are also more likely to disagree that Israel has a right to defend itself against those who want to destroy it.

    Wonder what the impact of ChatGPT is on StackOverflow SO. Six months ago, I didn't go a day without visiting SO. Now I find ChatGPT almost always answers my coding questions accurately (and much faster and with more directly applicable code examples).

    This ratio differs from opinion polls, which show sentiment among Americans aged 18-24 split roughly equally between Israel and the Palestinians. TikTok does not merely reflect pre-existing sentiment—it is shaping views, creating a dangerous environment for Jews.

    Kaggle just passed 7MM registered users up from 1MM four years ago. Four years ago, I feel like the thing I heard most when I spoke to companies was "how can I find a data scientist". I hear that much less often today. It's great so many people entering the profession.
