I got back into reading in the spring of 2022 and it has been a wild ride. I’ve gotten into BookTok, BookTube and Bookstagram just absolutely obsessed with adding books to my never-ending TBR. But I found out really quickly that not all book reviews are created equal and it can be kind of difficult to find all the information all in one place about the actual subject matter of the book. Unlike movies, there are little to no regulations in terms of what authors have to disclose about the contents of their books and there is no rating system in regards to books. So I decided to start Your Big Sister’s Library with the main purpose of being a place people can come to know all of the deep and potentially triggering subject matter that is in a book. It also has information regarding specific tropes, diverse representations and the level of spice, violence, and alcohol present in the book, so you can have a better idea of what you are getting into before you decide whether or not to read a book. I also wanted to include some of my personal thoughts on the books just for funsies. So I hope Your Big Sister’s Library helps someone pick a book!
