"In Your Arms Lies Eternity" & "Epilogue"

Gentle as a breeze, a hand brushed the bare skin of her shoulder, familiar callouses following well-worn treads that had long ago mapped the shape of her body.

"Ariane," a familiar voice said, low and quiet and achingly tender.

For a lingering moment she stayed in the safety of the precipice, a desperate hope building in her aching chest. Once she turned there would be finality, a question answered one way or another. There was always the chance it would not resolve as she wished, hopes dashed at the sight of another's face, the voice and touch a hallucination of a forlorn mind. But Dorian was grinning, retreating, head bowed in the bestowal of privacy. She did not need these walls built to guard her heart from sorrow. It was real. He was alive. He was there.

Ariane turned.

"Mi Corazón," said Lucanis.
