TICOM
Target Intelligence Comittee - this page is a stub

TICOM, short for Target Intelligence Committee, was a British (later: Anglo-American) project to find and seize German technology, ranging from communication equipment to advanced crypto­graphic devices and methods for interception and cryptanalysis. TICOM was formed during WWII, and successfully confiscated and moved intelligence assets and people to the United States after the war [1]. It ran alongside other Allied efforts to extract German scientific and technological assets after the war, including Operation Paperclip, Operation Alsos and operation Surgeon [1].

Teams
The main target of the TICOM was to seek out and capture Germany's cryptologic secrets. The TICOM teams consisted of cryptologic experts, mainly from the British codebreaking centre Bletchley Park, which entered Ger­ma­ny with the front-line troops in order to capture documents, technology and personnel of the various German signals intelligence organisations, before these secrets were destroyed, looted or captured by the Soviets. The following six teams were formed:
