His Daddy, this is the precious face I see first thing in the morning when we wakes up to eat at 6 and then again when he wakes up for real at 10. Y'all know how I feel about the mornings so this is clearly not something he gets from me.

Avery Boy is just like...
His Mamma, if you have read my blog for awhile I am a TV-aholic. While I was unloading the dishwasher I had Avery all set up to play in his bumbo chair and I was going to catch up on some Olympics. I looked over the bar to see how he was doing and this is what I found.
Apparently I don't need to be quite so proud I haven't had him watch baby movies yet, at least they are age appropriate. Don't worry, I am a good Mom, I said "Avery Blake" and he turned around and looked at me and quit watching TV. So then I hid with my phone until he did it again and took his picture nice huh. Not only will he have ADD, but probably neck damage as well.

His Mamma and Daddy. We both LOVE to read. This picture is about a month ago reading with Papa Lee. We can almost always calm him down and buy a few minutes with a book and he was very proud about 2 weeks ago to figure out he can turn the pages.
I can't believe our little prince is 5 months old. Today he celebrated with his first all day alone with Daddy while I played with my other babies at work. I think there was a lot of male bonding going on. They were both tired and happy after a full 12 hours of father son time. Stay tuned for a 5 month pic before too long.

It's Good to be Home
Avery has changed so much the past few weeks. He is laughing and playing with his toys so much more than he used to. He thinks his exersaucer is the greatest and that play time with Daddy is hilarious.
We have had a great 2 weekends at home. I am so thankful I got so sleep in this Saturday after staying up way too late Thursday night watching the Olympics and then getting up with the storm early Wednesday morning.
I am so glad that Avery always wakes up with a sweet little face and that he doesn't mind catching a few z's with us on Saturday mornings when we want to rest.
We are looking forward to one more weekend at home and then it is Linde's big day! We are counting down to the festivities and crossing our fingers that the littlest ring bearer is in a good humor for Aunt Linde.
Almost Uncle Jeff won't be almost in less than 2 weeks. We are so glad Linde found someone wonderful to sweep her off her feet.

Beautiful Aunt Linde
Aunt Linde had her Bridal portraits today. She was looking so beautiful. I can't believe the wedding is getting so close, less than a month! Avery had a super fun morning playing with Katie and David. He was not too sad to see Michael go...
That's our well-adjusted/totally spoiled kid, see ya Daddy I've got plenty of people to play with me here.
Thanks Sarah, Katie and David!
In other news we are teething. It is so sad, little bit handles it pretty well, but as he chews on anything he can get close enough I am feeling very sorry for him. I like my little gummy baby, but I hope for his sake the teeth pop through before too long and get him out of him misery.

Skullet
A Mullet is a hairstyle that is short in the front, top, and sides, but long in the back. The hairstyle was popular during the late 20th century, from the early 1970s to the early 1990s. Mullets have been worn by males and females of all ages. The mullet is distinct from the rattail, which consists of a long, narrow "tail" of hair growing from the back of the head. Mullets also vary in length from side to side and necessarily do not share a single, consistent length.
We have decided that Avery has a Skullet, it meets the mullet definition according wikipedia, but he has skull on the sides and front :)
See, skull in the front.
Hair in the back, hopefully it won't grow into a rattail.
See, skull on the sides.
We are taking bets on how much longer the fringe will last. I am finally getting to have a bald baby for little while.
