The season has started again! This is Olivia's fifth season playing and Mason's second. Mason is on a new team and Olivia is still with the Fireflies. Watching them play soccer is one of our FAVORITE things to do.

A Nite Out in the City
Went into Houston to see the Murphs, eat at Underbelly (yum!), go to a Rockets game (although I spent more time visiting than cheering on our team), and visited a local bar.
Now that was fun.

Main Event
Oh there are times when I really miss being in the classroom. Since the kids are getting older, I am able to use a lot of my tricks that I used with my students. We reward our kiddos with pom-poms whenever we notice them doing something EXTRA (extra nice, helpful, respectful, kind, etc). Once they fill up their jar, we do a fun family activity.
Today they choose Main Event (bowling and games).
A fun evening!!

The Hose
This picture cracks me up. If you look closely at the picture, Olivia is thoroughly enjoying spraying her brother.

Sunglasses
Confession: I have an obsession with kiddos wearing sunglasses.
It started when she was just 8 months old (top pic) and then when Aunt Erin bought Olivia the brown stylish pair when she was 27 months (bottom pic).
Mason's eyes are sensitive to the sun, so he chooses to wear sunglasses a lot. Olivia rarely wears hers, but that doesn't stop me from buying them ;)

X-Ray
So we had our first x-ray....and it was clear....thankfully.
On Saturday, my parents were going to watch the kiddos so I could go to the Mardi Gras party. I said goodbye to the kiddos and was getting into my car when Olivia fell and I heard the "i'm really hurt scream". Immediately she held her right arm in and it started to swell. :-/ Needless to say, she was very upset and wanted to come back home with me. A few hours later it she was moving it some, but still not really using it.
Sunday it was a little better, but she ran funny with it and didn't use it during play. Her upper forearm was tender to touch and she couldn't twist it.
Monday I decided to take her into the pediatrician. She was actually more concerned about her wrist versus the forearm....but after the x-ray came back clear...we knew it was just a bad bruise.

Fun Run
We've heard it from our house for the past three years and now we get to experience it.
Loud music and kids running everywhere to help raise money for the school...
awesome idea, except the company takes more than 50% of the money raised....just sayin.

Happy 100th Day of School
She had to make a hat with 100 objects. She choose legos and made a "potion factory where you could borrow potions if something odd happens".

A NEW Car
Everyone knows how much Tim loves cars...and when I mentioned that Erin was talking about minivans the night before, Tim starts his search. Eventually he suggests meeting up at the only dealership open on a Sunday.
And we saw this beauty. The car felt right. It looked right. The kids loved it. We looked good in it.
So, four hours later, they owned it :)
