Getting Messy

Benjamin went to the doctor on Tuesday for his 8 week check-up. The good Doc was impressed.


Ben The Tank weighed in at 14 lbs. 6 oz. and is now 24" long. That puts him in the 95th percentile for his age. The Doc asked "Is his father a big guy?". Haha.

Tank is now getting some cereal mixed into his formula, which is spectacular because he's sleeping much longer through the night (like 7 hours). He also got to start on applesauce yesterday....with mixed results. It was messy going in and it was messy going out.

Olan Mills Photos

We got three pictures back from our trek to Olan Mills a few weeks back. One is here and the other is in the December album. The one where he's awake, for whatever reason, doesn't look anything like him (in my opinion).


The little guy is now able to roll over fairly consistently and I have seen it with my own two eyes. I'm going to record him doing it this weekend and see if I can figure out how to get it uploaded to here for yall to see.

Other than that, I got mega sick on Monday and was out of commission for a couple of days.....thankfully it wasn't contagious and Benjamin (and Jennifer) are doing just fine despite my bleh.

Of Course I was at Work

This afternoon I got a phone call from Jennifer and she was really happy to tell me that Benjamin rolled over for the first time today. I was unable to get him to duplicate the feat once I got home from work.


The little guy is doing just fine. He's 6 weeks old now and when weighed last (early part of this week) he was at 13-1/2 pounds. We busted out my tape measure (I had to go out to my truck and get it from my tool bag) and he is at 23" now.

He is eating 6 oz. in a sitting now, sometimes getting a couple of sittings in between naps. At night he is sleeping about 4 hours, getting up to feed, sleeping 4 hours, getting up to feed, sleeping another couple of hours. We, particularly Jennifer, are pretty excited about that.

Lastly, I updated the photos some more so we now have a December album. He's the cutest.
