Tae Kwon Do

We recently went to a birthday party at a Tae Kwon Do place.  It was definitely different.  The instructor was rather blown away when B chopped this board in half with his bare hands.  All of the kids had the opportunity, but B was one of the only ones who accomplished the break.

 In a recent exercise of fine motor skills, B put together both of my Container Store desks all by himself.  There were three tiny screws in each leg, times eight legs!  It took him a while, but he pushed through it with a great and very determined attitude!  I was highly impressed...and grateful that I didn't have to do it!

Soccer Party

We had the end of year party for soccer.  Super fun times with friends at a park.  What could be better than cake and trophies???

Arboretum and Fun

Bekah + blackberries =

 So, we like to go to the arboretum on Monday mornings and participate in the Tyke Hike.  The theme was "Coyotes," and we were surprised to see that the news reporters were there...to film us....

 We just acted normal...

 So, we have a recording of our family television debut.  Ask to watch it next time you visit ;)

After the hike, we like to go into the nature center and explore all of the children's activities.  This was a pelt... Nothing like watching your child play with a dead animal...

 Then there were puppets, so we sang songs for each animal they brought me...

 Later, they played "going on a trip."  I am never clear where they go, but they are ALWAYS traveling...

Another Day, Another Goat Dairy Farm Tour

Just another day in our crazy life...

We headed out for a tour of a local goat dairy farm.  It was SO COOL! The day was beautiful, and we went with friends.  SO FUN! Since dairy goats are handled so much, they were exceptionally friendly...

 Bekah was a little nervous because the goats were bigger than her, but she worked past that...

 and milked them...

 as did B...

 Then, we gathered at the picnic tables for a tasting of the cheeses.  I did not partake, but I was shocked that B loved them!

And there are no pictures, but Bekah drenched herself and ended up naked (surprise, surprise) when she found a rain water bucket.

Evie Turned ONE!

Two days after Halloween we headed to Salado for Evie's first birthday party.  We try not to include pictures of her on the blog as the parents prefer her not be published, so we will just offer some brief pics of US during the day.

This is not in order, but the BBQ lunch was actually AFTER the party.  Nevertheless, it was AWESOME!

Halloween at Last!!!

It was a great night for community.  We got to stop and visit with all of our neighbors.  Everyone was out, so all of the candy was on the porches. It was super special to enjoy our first Halloween in our new neighborhood.

Monday, Funday

Well, it was supposed to be fun.  We were on our way to the Arboretum when my persistent brake noises roared their ugly heads.  We had to detour to the dealership.  Fortunately, the kids thought the dealership was awesome...

 When we finally got home, we headed outside.  I did NOT intend for Bekah to be wearing her costume; nor did I intend for this to parlay itself into water time...

 Or naked play...

 Yet it did...

But they had fun, and the day was lovely!
