Spring has Sprung

Mom loves Spring, but it doesn't like her.
She isn't feeling to swift today and she
thinks it's because of her allergies
with all the pollen from
the Oak trees blowing all around. Our
two cars out front are the same color
of the leaves of the trees instead
of a dark red or purple. Mom has to stay in
the house when she is itching to get outside
to get work done in the yard and the wood
stacked. Oh by the way, that is Cleo looking
out the window.

God's Mighty Power

God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give
to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge
of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope of His calling,
what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the
saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power
toward us who believe, according to the working of His
mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised
Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in
the heavenly places, far above all principality and power
and might and dominion, and every name that is named
not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Rascal tagged Me

Mom's got that flashy thing going again. Have to keep my eyes shut.
Rascal has tagged me with this meme:
Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people and post a comment
to Empress once you post it to your blog so “I” (empress, not us) can come see!
This is from the book Wild Cats of the World
by David Alderton
This is about the black-footed wild cat of Africa.
They typically appear darker than adults, because at this early stage their markings predominate in the coat. The weaning process begins when they are about five weeks old, and kittens can be catching prey themselves within a further week.
Interestingly, although the initial development of black-footed cats is precocious when compared with domestic cats, their age of maturity is subsequently much delayed.
If anyone wants to play just drop a comment to Empress at her sight and let her know you played.

Sitting Side by Side

WE HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT EASTER
We could pretend that these two are girl
bunnies watching two boy bunnies out in
the yard. Mom was very surprised that
Cleo and Patches were sitting together like
this. Even long enough to get their picture taken.
Wonders never cease.

HE IS RISEN

Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week begain to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men.
But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for HE IS RISEN as He said. Come and see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that HE IS RISEN from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee, there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."
So they went out quickly from the tomb, with fear and Great Joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.

Waiting on the Lord

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
It is good that one should hope and
wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Let him sit alone and keep silent,
because God has laid it on him.

Casper's Ear

Mom loves to whisper sweet nothings in my ear.
Sometimes it tickles.
Hey, you don't see any mites in there, do ya??

Redemption and Grace

In Him we have redemption through his blood,
the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the
riches of God's grace that He lavished on us
with all wisdom and understanding. And He made
known to us the mystery of His will according
to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to
be put into effect when the times will have
reached their fulfillment-to bring all things in
heaven and on earth together under one head,
even Christ.

Casper's Home

Here I am sporting my pink bandage. Mom said at least they could
have given me a blue one. I had to have IV fluids when I got my teeth cleaned, she (vet) said it was because of my age. Mom was kind of upset when I had stay over night. The vet
didn't get to me early enough and I was still alseep when Mom came to pick me up so I had to stay over. Anyhow I came home today and am getting lots of hugs and kisses. Mom said she really missed me last night. Maybe I ought to go away more often. But not to the Vet. Mom said at least she didn't have to watch me walk around like a drunk.

Sharing with Casper

Casper has his paw on the back of my chair again.
He wants to come down on my lap and share the
chair. I don't mind sharing with him, it's just
I have a tough time typing. But he enjoys
visiting everyone when I get the chance to.

Redemption in Christ

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in
Christ, just as he chose us in Him before the foundation of the
world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in
love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to
Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise
of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
NKJV Ephesians 1: 3-6
