A year in review 2010

I can't believe that this year has come and gone so quickly. I always think to get a Christmas letter out or send a photo greeting card but with lack of time and money, again this year it did not happen. So I am using my blog to do just that.

At the beginning of the year, Chris and I decided that it is time to put our condo up for sale and try to buy a house while the market is affordable. We have been looking in the Eagle Mountain area and can;t wait til we can get moved there. We have not sold our home and it has been a few months since anyone had come by to see it but we are hoping that in 2011 will be the year that we will get it sold and by a home.

Chris- Chris is still working for Wendy's as a Co-general Manager but in January his title gets changed to Store-manger. He applied this month to be a General Manager which means he will run his own store. He will be gone more but it is the next step in his career. We have not heard back about his application but we a hopeful he we get the promotion in 2011 sometime.

Cathy- Cathy is still working for Smith's as the Back-up Scan Coordinator and working Marykay Cosmetics alittle. She keeps busy by taking care of our 3 children and our home. She was released in August as the Education Counselor in the Relief Society and was called to be the primary pianist. She was a little nervous because it has been 5 years since she really played the piano and does not know the primary songs as well as the hymns, and we do not have our piano at the condo to practice. We purchased a keyboard and she is managing just fine playing again. She missed Relief Society but loves being in the primary and the twins love that she is in there with them.

Matthew- This year he was not able to start Kindergarten because his birthday is in Oct so he started preschool instead. He loves the routine of preschool. He is learning how to write his name and can recognized all the letters in his name, he can count to twenty and can recognized the numbers to 20 and can tell you what numbers together make a number. He can count and add number as well. He plays really well with is toys and has a strong imagination. He involves his brother and sister in his playing and can be the leader. He loves to sing, loves I-Spy books.

Ashleigh- She also was not able to attend Kindergarten and is also in preschool. She loves preschool because she is around more girls her age. She has a friend name Emma. She can write her name and can recognize letters in her name. She can color in the lines and make pretty pictures. She LOVES to color, she LOVE music, dance and to sing. She will tell you stories, she will be your best friend, she also can remember things really well. She is such a "girly, girl.

Joshua- He is still in nursery and loves it. He is talking more and more and with difficult words. He is sad that he cannot go to preschool with the twins but loves his alone time with mommy or daddy. He always loves to play with the twins and do what they are doing. He always thinks that he can do what they do. He is always happy and loves to cuddle still and give kisses.

I hope that this letter, finds all of you and your families well and happy. We want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New 2011 Year.

Holiday Activities.

For Thanksgiving, it was my parents year for us to come spend time with them. We switch off every other year so that it is fair and each family gets time with us. Joshua was so worn out from being at my parents and playing with his brother, sister and cousin that he fell asleep in the car and then did not want to wake up to go inside the house. Chris put home on the couch without taking his coat or shoes off and he only woke up enough to hold on to his favorite blanket that he always wants when he sleeps. He stayed like this for a couple of hours.

This month has been a busy one for our family. It started out with our Ward Christmas party. It was such a fun night and it was nice that all five of us could go as a family. They had activities for the children which our three participated. They decorated cookies, made ornamates, colored Christmas pictures and wrote letters/drew pictures for Santa. For entertainment, they invited the Taylorsville High School Bell Choir. The music was just beautiful and the players we amazing to play so well. Ashleigh loved it so much that she wants to learn how to play bells someday. Then at the end they invited Santa Clause to talk to each child. Our children were excited to sit on Santa's lap and tell him the one thing that want from him.

We had a few days that it snowed alot and the kids enjoyed playing in it, eating it and making snow balls. We never did make a snowman or went sledding before it melted but they still had fun and I am sure we will get to that if it snows again. This is what how much it snowed after a whole weekend in Dec. We have had alot of rain this week so it is pretty much melted and we have to wait for it to snow again.

Then, the twins' preschool had a program for Christmas. They had it at the Sandy Library. The children of the class and the younger class sang Christmas songs and recited poems that they have learned through the school year and Santa and Mrs. Clause came and heard the program and then visited with each child, even Joshua got to visit even though he was not feeling the best.

We have gone to see Christmas lights around the neighborhood and a home in Murray that is completely decorated and the the lights blink with music that is on a radio station. We have played in the snow, and watched many Christmas movies that have been on t.v.. The Ward Choir had a Christmas program this last Sunday that I got to sing with, and they music director invited the primary children to sing "Away in a Manger." for the program. I was asked to substitute playing the organ the first Sunday of Dec and it was the first time in 5 years since I played. I was nervous but it came back to me like I never left it and I sort of miss it.
In the next few days will be just as busy and I hope not to be to long to write about it. Until then; Merry Christmas.

Halloween Fun

I am sorry that I got this post out a little late. Time just goes so fast.

So for Halloween, we decided that it would be fun to let the kids pick out pumpkins, carve them and the light them.

Then there was many Halloween activities that either the kids or the family were involved with. On Wed before Halloween the twin's preschool had their Halloween Party. Then on Friday night, my in-laws neighborhood and the ward we use to live in, had their trunk-or-treat, so we attended that and the kids got lots of candy and had fun and it was nice to see old neighbor and friends I have not seen in awhile. On Saturday, our ward had a primary party. They had many activities like musical chairs and coloring. The teacher decorated the classrooms and the primary kids went trick or treating to each room. Then I took the kids to my parents so that my mom and dad could see them in their costumes and then my dad thought it would be fun to take them around the neighborhood.
We got the costumes from the Saver's that is behind our house. Ashleigh was a princess and the crown I bought for her at my work broke as soon as it got out of the package so I let her borrow mine from my wedding. Matthew was spiderman and Joshua was Optimus Prime. They had a blast this year for Halloween. Can't wait til next year.

Our happenings lately

I know that it has been several weeks since my last update of our family, we have just been super busy and I can't believe how fast time has flown.
In September, the twins started preschool. I really wished that they would have been able to start Kindergarten but having been born in October they have to wait one more year. We found a great Preschool in the Sandy area near my work. They go Monday and Wed from 8:45 to 11:00 am. They are with 8 other kids in their class which is great because there are not as many kids their age in a neighborhood. They are starting to learn their alphabet and also learning how to write their first name. I thought that it would have been hard for them to go because it would be a new routine but they actually love it and that makes me happy. Joshua was sad the first few times that we would drop them off because he could not go with them and do what they were doing, but now he enjoys his one on one time with myself or his dad.
I took some pics of them in their new school clothes and of course Josh had to join in on the pics.

We had a pass for the Discovery gateway which is the childrens museum in our area. The kids LOVE going there and playing.

Also in September, we took the kids to the Salt Lake Temple and walked around the plaza. It was a beautiful day.

Then this last week, the twins preschool went on their first field trip They went to Gardner Village for A Witch Scavanger Hunt It was fun. I got to see Ashleigh with her first girlfriend. They held hands for awhile, I thought it was cute but was unable to get a pic, but they played ring-around-the rosies. Matthew was funny, he seemed like he was kind of jealous when another classmate was paying attention to Ashleigh. But I am glad that they have friends now but yet want to spend time together still.

Happy 90th Birthday Grandma Despain

This is my grandma and today is her 90th birthday. This photo was taken last week at her birthday party. My grandma is the most wonderful lady on the planet. She is the one who would encourage you to live your dreams, she would inform you about what the rest of the family is doing, she was the one who wrote letters to you when you were on missions or away at school, she would do just about anything for anyone and loves everybody, she would also be there for the most important things in her family members life. Her short term memory is not that good since my grandpa died but her long term is still good and she can tell you things from her past and she also can give you go insight or advice. I loved to watch her with my grandpa and the unconditional love that she has for him, she is a great mother to my mom and her siblings, but most of all she is the best grandma and granddaughter could ever ask for. I love you grandma. Happy Birthday.

New Calling

So today, I was released as the Relief Society 2nd counselor. I was called into the position 2 years ago when Joshua was 4 months old. I never really understood why I was ever called into this calling except that my Patriarch Blessing tells me that I will have much to do in the relief society program. And even when I felt like I fell short of serving the sister due to my age and in-experience, I did enjoy being in Relief Society. I love Relief Society even if it seems funny or strange. I love how it makes me feel and I love the lessons and being with the sisters in the ward.
That being said, I am being called to be the primary pianist. I quietly kept my piano playing to a min in this ward because I felt the after 7 years playing the organ/piano, that I needed a break especially having small children. I have not really played the piano for 5 years and never really played the primary songs. I could easily pick up the hymns again but I am nervous about the primary songs and playing to many errors. I will be nice to get back to the piano, but we are not bringing the piano from my parents to the condo so we bought a small keyboard which is not the same but I have enjoyed they few days that it has been here.
I hope that I can do a good job playing for the children in our ward.

One Year Ago Today

One year ago today was my Grandpa Despains funeral. I still can remember it as if it was yesterday. I still miss him so much but I know that he is in a better place and he is not suffering from the pains of aging. I do however wonder what things he may be doing now. Has he been enjoying his reunion with his friends and family, is he being a missionary to those who did not have the opportunity to hear or except the gospel here on earth, or is he watching over us his family like a angel? I am sure what ever he is doing he is happy doing it. That was the kind of person he was, he was always happy doing things that he loved. I am grateful for the knowledge of the gospel and that families are together forever through the temple. and even though I still miss him, this knowledge that I have makes this separation easier. I am grateful for my grandpa and the person that he was, he influenced my life for the better and still does. I love you grandpa.

My goal

I would like to share my goal with all of you becuase if I share my goal then I will get support and with support I can succeed.
Chris and I have had this feeling that we should have another child since this time last year. In fact, I am only about a month away with Joshua's age that Matthew and Ashleigh were when I was pregnant with Joshua. We went on clomid last October and had to be taken off two different month out of 8 months of trying. After 8 months and the clomid making me gain 25 lbs because of it being a steriod and no success of becoming pregnant, We decided to take a break from trying till November.
Since we are not trying to get pregnant for now, I am trying to get my weight back under control. I have been watching what I eat by eating a low GI diet and working out. I workout at home between 90-135 minutes 4-6 days a week. I have been using Leslie Sansone walking interval videos. I want to lose as much weight as I can before Nov. at the rate that I am losing I could be about 165 lbs, that is the weight I was before I got pregnant with the twins and have not gotten too since. So far in the 2 months that I have been doing this, I have lost about 14lbs. I am about 12lbs away from where I was last fall before clomid.
I am very excited for this challange, with goal of weightloss and the goal of getting myself ready to try to have another baby. I would gladly take any advice, support and compliments from all of you to help my motivation. In Nov, you will all see a smaller me.

Some family fun.

I know that it has been a few weeks since I last updated our blog. We have just been keeping busy with work and raising our kids, plus everyday life. But here are some highlights of what we have been up too.

It Salt Lake City there is a mall called the Gateway and there they have the children's museum. We bought a season pass for the kids for a year which expires in September. We will usually take them a few times a month. It is a great place to take the kids because it is a safe place where they can play, have imagination and get worn out by all the fun.

They have a old air med helicopter that Matthew loves to go play at.

Joshua playing with the cash register at the grocery store.

Ashleigh also play in the helicopter.

Then a couple of Saturday's ago, we took the kids to see Toy Stroy 3. Our kids especially Joshua LOVES Toy Story, so we thought it would be fun to take them. This was the third movie we have ever taken them to see. 1st being The Princess and the Frog and the 2nd being Shrek Forever. Both those times the twins made many bathroom trips and Joshua was not very attentive during Shrek, but for Toy Story 3 they all sat and watched it, no bathroom breaks. Matthew thought it was cool, Joshua had a smile, Ashleigh love the barbie and ken scenes but was scared of the waste facility scenes, and at the end I cried. But over all it was a great movie, and the kids have been asking to go see it again.

The kids in the theater with their 3D glasses on before the movie started.

That same day in the evening, our family went to a ward members backyard for a bbq for the chior members. The older couple the Winters who was hosting the bbq had this fun tree that Matthew and Ashleigh just HAD to climb.

At our condo complex we have access to a swimming pool and the kids love going swimming and have already been there a few times this summer.

The this last Saturday, I took the kids to my parents wonderful fenced backyard and my sister brought her little girl Willow who is 3 to play with them. There is lots of fun things to do: play in the sand, ride bikes, play with balls, and of course play with water. My dad bought a little pool and filled it with water and the 4 children thought it would be fun to take sand buckets and fill them up the proceed to dump them on each others heads.

der="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488059689320198210" />

My dad has a wheel barrel that he filled up with water and gave the kids a ride around the yard in, expect Joshua is terified of it and won't go in.

Running around in the sprinklers and covering the sprinklers with the sand buckets.

Ashleigh got cold, so my mom laid a towel on the patio and told her to lay on it in the sun to warm up.

So far we are having a fun summer. I hope you are all having a fun summer too.

I Am a Child of God.

I am a Child of God, and he has sent me here. Has given me a earthly home with parents kind and dear. Lead me, guide me, walk besides me, help me find the way. Teach me all that I must do to live with him someday,"

So our ward chior sang this song in sacrament meeting this last Sunday. This is one of Matthews' favorite primary songs. While I was up there singing with the chior, I had looked at Sister Steed and saw she was in tears, and it made me tear up. After sacrament was over, she came up to me and told me that when the song was being sung, Matthew sang really loud and even came on que with the Chior. She said that it was so precious that it was emotional to her. I heard the same story for several other people who were in the congregation. I hope that Matthew, Ashleigh and Joshua; always remember that they are children of God and that he loves them very much. I am grateful to be their mom and to and to have part of Gods love in my home through them.

I've Been Given All I Need

All I ever wanted, all I ever needed. I the things that I've hoped and all the things I've prayed for. Could not put a candle to what I've been given, I've been given what I need.
A mansion on a hill or love like in the movies, perfect little lives when no one has a problem, instead of all the things I thought I really wanted, I've been given what I need.
Even when I didn't understand. When I thought you had no heart, thank you for rejecting my commands and always giving me the better part.
All I ever wanted, all I ever needed, I've been given what I need.
-Micheal McLean-

I have been struggling with Patience. I really would like to get our condo to sell so we can buy a house. Since we put it up for sale in March we have only had about 10 people see our place with no offers and no one has come to see it in a month and a half. I am excited for what a move would mean for my family especially my children and I am anxious to get our condo to sell.
Also, we have felt that we should invite another spirit into our home. We have been actively trying since Oct with no success. I get put on medication that has made me gain lots of weight, and I have been through more processes with the doctor then I ever have been before (ultra sounds and hormone shots). I see those around me who are having babies and even though I am happy for all of them, I am sad for the one we are struggling to get here. Some people will tell me that I should be happy that I have 3 beautiful children and I am. They are such a wonderful blessing in my life, and I could not imagine my life without their beautiful smiles and faces, their happy spirits. I just want to be able to have the baby that is suppose to be in our family.
But, even though I am struggling with these two things that seem major in my life. I am grateful that we have a home that we can be a family in. That we are safe, a that love fills the air in our home. You can hear the laughter and the giggles from the children as the play and their excitement for a achievement. I have learned since having Joshua, that I am not suppose to be able to get pregnant and because of that, I have learned that the are a miracle from heaven and that Heavenly Father made it possible for them to be here. I love my children very much. I remember the time in my life when they were not in it, but I can't imagine my life without them now.
I know that there will be a day when we will sell our condo and move into a house with a fenced yard, I know that their will be another baby in our home, and someday my weight will be what is called "normal", but I am working on being healthy inside. I just got to practice patience.

The kids had a GREAT time at the park today.

Today was such a beautiful and warm day. I decided to put the kids into the car and drive to a Park in the Murray area along the Jordan River.

This is Joshua having a great time.

Matthew and Ashleigh racing down the slide.

There were some other kids at the park while we were there, and Matthew had fun play tag with a little boy. Ashleigh had fun going down a tunnel slide that a couple of years ago she was scared to go down and got stuck once, she also thought it was fun playing with the wood chips. Joshua had fun running around and just being outside.
It is nice that we have some parks near by, but I can't wait for a backyard and a neighborhood with lots of kids.
Today was a great day.

What happened to Ashleigh in Primary

In our ward, we have a small primary. It is about 25 kids total. So instead of having a junior and a senior primary they combine it to have one. So today, when all the kids were in the primary room for primary, the Primary Pres. had announced that she had some "invitations" for the 4 girls. Ashleigh responded saying that she was 4. The Primary Pres. had ment the 4 older girls in the back who was old enough to attend the achievement day program. Because Ashleigh did not understand, she got really upset because she felt like she was being left out, and did not want to stay in Primary because that "would make her cry," she said. Chris and I tried to explain to her the invitation thing after we found out what that was all about.
I completely understand how she feels. We have lived in this ward for 4 years, and we have only had a few people that we have connected to and felt like we were friends and they have since moved on. (The Ramseys and the Elliots). The stay at home moms and we had one dad that have "play groups" and until like a few that we were invited too last year we have not been invited nor informed of. Our twins really only know each other and thought they love each other, they are desperate to have friends. This is one reason why Chris and I feel that this move will be good for our family. With hopes that we move to a neighborhood and ward with more kids their age so that they can have friends and other children to do things with.
I did make Ashleigh feel better when I told her that when we move into that house with more kids her age to play with, we will make invitations for the girls in her primary class to come over and have a koolaid party.
I love Ashleigh so much along with Matthew and Joshua, that I hate to see them hurt so much when they are not included with a activity and have their feelings hurt.

Your sorrow will turn into joy when you have faith.

On Saturday, my Stake Relief Society held a Women's Conference. In the conference, there was a mom, and a husband and wife (Laura and Kelly Griffins) who did a musical program. Their program featured the idea of troubled souls or spirits. The was a sharacter of a young lady who was down in the mist of sorrow for being in a home with abuse and suffering. As she struggled to find a way out she began to find peace and hope through the gosple of our Heavenly Father and comfort in the knowledge that Our Savior is there beside us. The line in one of the songs says: "Your sorrow will turn into joy when you have faith. Come frind Him and He will give you peace." As she continued to find the comfort through the Savior, she did find hope and peace, she found comfort, she felt loved. Also, as the got to that point she dedicated her life to help others find that same comfort and peace.
In my 31 years here on this earth, I have been faced with many challenges. Some of the were from abuse from many sources, and some physical and emotional issues that I have and do face. There are times that I feel that I do not deserve wonderful things loke my husband and children with a home. I struggle with my weight and often feel that I do not deserve to be thin no matter how much effort that I give to become thin and healthy. I struggle with female issues. I continue to have cysts on my ovaries that are painful, and I cannot get pregnant with ease or lose weight. I emotions are up and down sometime. But through my decision to have a personal relationship with Heavenly Father and to read the words of the Savior and pray to Heavenly Father, I do find comfort and peace. I have learned that because I should not be able to get pregnant, my 3 children are a blessing from Heavenly Father (and they definitly are), I do deserve my home, my hisband and children who I love with all my heart, and someday, I will be able to have another child and have a thin and healthy body. I will admit that it is hard to always remember or to always have faith to work hard everyday, but there are days that I do remember and I do feel very blessed.

General Conference

This last weekend, our family had a great time listening to General Conference. It was also Easter weekend. I think it is a nice way to celebrate Easter by listening to the Prophet and all the general authorities. My spirit has been feed and i was able to hear and think about the things that have been waying down in my heart.
One thing that came to mind way a talk about trials. The speaker was in the Sunday afternoon session and I am not sure who it was. He talked about that instead of complaining about a trial that we are experiencing we should figure out what it is that we need to learn from it. All our trials are given from Heavenly Father to help us grow spiritually and that through trials are deepest blessings are granted.
I have presonally have gone through some trails lately and it was good to hear that I need to stay close to heavenly Father and learn from my trials and grow from them and then I will be richly blessed by my obediance and enduring the trial.
I also love general conference and to hear the talks that have been prepared by the leaders of the church and to take time to learn from them of the things that Heavenly Father wants me to learn. It is usually hard to have to wait another 6 months for gerenal conference to be back on again, but with church attendance and reading the published talks, I know I will not have to wait too long.
I hope that all of you who had the chance to watch or listen to confrence, felt spritually feed and found at least one thing that you can do to improve you faithfullness in the gospel. And then take the time to study the words when they are published.

Ultrasound

Today, I went in for a follow up ultrasound that I had two weeks ago. The verdict is that I had two cysts. One on my right ovarie that is about a 3 cm and another on my left that is a 6 cm. The dr. took me off clomid for the month and put me on birth controll to help get rid of the cysts and then in a month, I have to get re-checked. If they are gone I can go back on clomid but if they are not gone then I stay on birth control one more month. wish me luck that everything will go great this month.

PCOS and Infertility

Ever since I was little, the only job that I wanted to do was to be a mom. When Chris and I were first married, we thought about waiting a couple of years before trrying to have a baby but within a couple of months we felt like it was time to have a baby sooner. After a year and a half of trying there was nothing and we did not understand why we had the "feeling" but still no baby. I went to LA Weightloss in Aug 2004 and lost 35 lbs, then in Nov, I went to my OBGYN who put me on CLOMID. In March, the day after our second anniversary we found out we were expecting our first baby that turned out to be the twins. We felt happy and excited and knew the wait was because of the twins.
When we decided it was time to try for another baby, I went on the Clomid instantly since we knew I could not get pregnant without it, and then found out we were expecting in July 2007 and was excited again. But the pregnancy went from just sciatic nerve pain to preeclampsia and the end. In Nov, after Joshua was born, I went to a Family practice doctor about my blood pressure that still would not come down. I was diagonosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome aka: PCOS. It explained that because of PCOS I cannot ovulate on my own which requires Clomid to get pregnant. I was also put on a medicine called Metphormin to control the PCOS symptoms. PCOS also makes you obsese especially in the mid section, blood pressure and chlorestral can be high, irregular periods, thinning hair, hair growing on face and back.
I thought that I finally knew why I have a hard time getting pregant and explained why the need for Clomid. I got the okay to start trying last spring, but in the summer, they found 2 over sized cysts on both overies. So I was put on Yaz and within a couple of months the cysts we gone and I was given the ok to be on clomid in Oct. Well I am still not pregnant 6 months later. Yesterday, I went in for a ultra sound on my overies in the middle of my cycle to see what my ovaries are doing. The tech found 3 folicales there. When I talked to the doctor after the ultra sound, he said that one is too small and the other two are double in size then they should be and most likely are cycts. I will find out in 2 weeks if they are truely cycts. If they are cycts, I have to go off clomid because it will make the cycts grow and I will still have infertility. I would have to go back on Yaz to get rid of them and be on it for a few months before I could go back on clomid.
I can say the I am disappointed and I do not understand this continual trial that I face when trying to have children. I am greatful to have the 3 beautiful children that I already have because with my PCOS, I should not be able to get pregnant.
I pray that I can get through this road block quickly and that a new baby will join our family shortly.

Today, I am 31 years old!

Today is my 31st birthday. I cannot believe that another year has past. I hope that this year is just as exciting as last year. Maybe I will get some more weight off my body, have another baby or even buy a house. What ever may happen, I am sure it will be a great year. Happy Birthday to me.

Dr, Appointment

Yesterday, I went to my dr. to go over the results of my fasting labs last week, and to find out if the things I was to do the last 3 months was working or not and if my meds need to be adjusted or changed.
I love my doctor, She makes me feel so good about myself and she talks to me in a way that I understand. Anyway, My chlorestal is doing much better. I brought my good chloestral up which is diet, my bad choerstrak down which is excerise and the tyriglicerides way down by 250 points which is the med. I told her that I wished that mu weight would reflect the same as the numbers but she told me to not worry about that as much right now just to keep on improving my eating habits and excerise along with my meds so that my numbers will become better, then when the time is right, then focus on weight. She also knows that I am trying to get pregnant, and the the clomid makes me gain weight. She said most of it is water weight and would come off as soon as I become pregnant and hit morning sickness.
I am proud of myself for working so hard on improving my health. I know that I was guided to this new doctor and the hopefully when I become pregnant that I will have a better outcome and hopefully no pre-eclampsia this time.

My brotherm Mark.

Today is my brother Marks' 29th birthday, I hope that he had a great birthday.

Getting the condo ready to sell.

Well our family has been busy getting the condo ready to sell. We rented a stroage unit to clear out some of our items that we could live without for about 9 months and I cannot believe all the stuff we have since we moved in. e are washing walls and painting. Even today the condo looks different. Moving and getting ready to move is never fun, but I am looking toward the day we sign on the dotted line for a home and get moved in and settled. I thought that the children ould have a hard time with this turn of events and cry as I condense their toys but they have been really good and wanting to help. We should be meeting with ur relator next week and will see a for sell sign on our window. I hope that we can sell the condo l neiquickly and find a home in the Salt Lake area that we like and are comfortable with. We will miss our wonderful neighbors but look forward to this new adventure in our lives.

I Can Imagine!!!!!

Almost five years ago we bought our condo in Taylorsville. We were happy because it was a place of our own that we were not renting and it was a place us and a 6 month old twins could call home. Well since then we had another little boy almost two years ago and we have felt like we have out grown our place by furniture and toys. For the last couple of years we have talked about buying a house and moving. This year we are talking about it more and think we might try to sell our condo this spring and buy a house (if the market fairs well for us).
Don't get me wrong, I have loved the condo and the neighbors even when there has been some challenges like having drug dealers live next to you, you cond building catching on fire twice in three months, but we feel it is time to move on.
As we have been talking, we have talked to the kids when the move were to happen and they are even excited.
I can imagine having a garage that I can park the family car and the convience that loading my kids in and out of it plus groceries or anything else will be. I would not have to scrape off snow and ice that forms on my husbands' car. i would not have to constantly look out my windows to make sure the cars did not get broken into during the day or night.
I can imagine what the "boys" room would look like and what the "girls" room would look like. I can see a room where I would have my piano that is nicely stored at my parents; and I can here the children bang on the keys and them learn how to play. I can see myself playing it again and the children sitting next to me to listen.
I can imagine a kitchen with a big counter where my husband will make homemade pizza and bread like he did when we lived at his grandparents home. I can imagine the nurf gun fights with the children and the "hide and go seek" they would play. I imagine a room for all the toys and the childrens' laughter and playfulness fills the room.
I can imagine a backyard with bikes and toys whether it be a swing set, trampoline or a blow up pool. I can here the sqweals and giggles as the children run around and play. I see them playing tag, kicking balls around, playing water fights, making snow angels in the snow.
I hope that what I can imagine can be reality for our family. We are blessed for that I do know.
