Thanksgiving 2008
This year we had a Thanksgiving at home. We had our friends, Kimberly and Danen, over since they weren't able to make it home either. It was fun. We made a great dinner, took naps, and played games until it was time for bed. We actually had some laughs and disagreements over answers on games. Randy won every game played, Danen won with Randy and came in second on one. Kimberly and I lost every one, even coming in dead last with a tie. Kimberly and Danen came over on Saturday to take some family pictures for our Christmas card. Due to a technical difficulty with their camera which corrupted some files, they came over again tonight to take more. These ones turned out even better. Notice them on the side. We love them, thanks Kimberly and Danen for all your hard work. We will also keep you all updated with Randy's job. The big news comes this week as to his products and territory.

Twilight!!!!!!!!
So, what would keep you up till after 2 in the morning, and take you out of your heated house in 20 degree weather? The midnight showing of Twilight!! My friends Kimberly and Missy joined me in my crazed state for a night of Bliss! It was so much fun. We got there two hours before it started to see a line that was already winding and watched the theatre fill to capacity!
We had such a good time trying to take pictures to capture this blessed event. We were laughing pretty good at this one. We were trying to zoom it out and I made a mistake. Doesn't Kimberly have beautiful eyes?!
The lady next to us graciously took one after she'd watched us take a few and laugh our heads off trying to get a good one. I had such a good time and LOVED the movie. It's one I want to see again on the big screen and will buy the morning it comes out on DVD! I don't care if I have to starve for a week to justify it either!
Thanks for making my night awesome. I wish Darlene and Kim could have come, too. If you need someone to go tomorrow- I'm there baby! It's a long shot, but maybe this time there won't be teenagers with raging hormones begging for the kiss to linger. Oh the swooning we heard!November 18, 2008
Just what I needed

I came home late on Sunday and thought I'd be able to jump into my work. Boy, was I wrong. That night while I was trying to unwind from the long trip, long drive home, and exhaustion, I picked up this book from a huge stack I'd borrowed from my mom. I'm glad it was on the top of the pile- due to it's size- because I needed to read this. I've heard that people only want to read books where they learn something; something in the way of knowledge, but this book did that for me and it's a novel! For any of you that haven't read it, it's a good one. Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors, along with Jane Austen and Stephanie Meyer. I'll read anything they've written. But, the thing that I needed was the way he describes his family. The love they had for one another. They way they grew up close and stayed close till now. The way the kids love each other. It was touching to me in a way that made me realize that I had that as a child and desperately want that for my family. I've come up with some ideas and want to implement them so that my family can be like this one- only Mormon. You may not come away with the same views, but it really is a good and fast read. If you have time to be lazy and read of course.

Four Generations
Since it will be a long time till we make it down the Utah, and since we were all together again, my mom wanted to get a four generation picture. My Grandma's mom was Annie. Grandma's name is Joanne, my mom's name is Rachelle Ann, my name is Stephanie Ann, and Keilie's name is Keilie Ann. Maybe she'll pass on the Ann to her daughter. This is a picture to treasure.
A couch full of lovin'
On our last day in Utah with everyone there, we tried to get a picture of all of the grandkids- seeing as it will be a while till they get anymore! (L to R) Daphnee, McKaylee, Caden, Payton, Keilie, Brennon, and Shelby. It was a fun time trying to get the to even look at the camera let alone try to get them to smile. They sure are cute though. 7 grandkids in 8 1/2 years isn't too bad. Congrats Mom and Dad!

Cheap Labor
About 3 weeks ago Caden made the comment that we needed to buy more trees so he could rake them up and jump in them. Well, while we were in Utah, he got his wish. Grandpa took him to Home Depot to buy a rake and let him do it all by himself. He didn't get them all in the backyard, but he did pretty good for his first time. Hopefully his interest will stay so that when we do have more trees, we'll get him for that cheap!

Close Cousins
Of the 5 grandkids born to my parents in the last 18 months, these two are the closest. Only a week apart, they share a cute bond.
Wonderful Weekend

It's about time!!
After weeks, if not months, of crying and banshee screaming from the seventh circle of Hades- and not all from Brennon, might I add!- he's finally got his first tooth. Let's hope the other ones don't cause him- or me!- this much pain and crying.

Fill 'er up!
Regular unleaded gas dipped to $1.98 on November 2, 2008 in Casper even as AAA was reporting the national average at $2.415. Regular unleaded gas prices in Natrona County, which peaked at $4.19 on July 14, have been falling dramatically since early October. Yesterday the price of regular unleaded was $1.90 at the cheapest in town, today it is $1.93.November 5, 2008
The Big Cut Announcement
Today GlaxoSmithKline made an announcement that 1,800 positions would be cut from the company. 1,000 people and 800 vacant positions would be eliminated from the workforce. Randy feels confidant that Wyoming won't be affected since we already have two vacancies and low numbers. The sad thing about this whole thing is that it will happen from now until the end of the year, meaning sad Thanksgivings and Christmases. I hope and pray that this will not affect us or our friends. Maybe Barrack the great will help rise this falling economy!November 2, 2008
No Cashews Please!!
When Caden was about 3 we noticed that he threw up right after he'd just had a cashew. Well, it happened again, so we knew he was allergic to cashews. He didn't have a reaction to any other nut, just cashews. Tonight we got some popcorn with a variety of different nuts, including cashews. Well, I wanted to do a test to see if he was still allergic. About two minutes after he'd put it in his mouth, his lip started to plump up. About another minute where we're trying to find Benadryl, he starts to throw up. We read scriptures and pray and get ready for bed, when he runs into the bathroom again and throws up more than the time before. We are now trying to get some allergy pills down when he gags and says, "it's too hard to swallow." You can guess by this point I'm freaking out. Needless to say, he hasn't thrown up again, but he won't have another cashew in my house. It was pretty intense!November 1, 2008
