The Results

I've needed to post the results of our weekend project last week! Dear Husbands Mother bought us a swing set for E for Christmas & It took us about 2 days to put together! It was fun to set up, but FREEZING outside. (well, I was at least...) E LOVES the swing set. It didn't take him long to figure it out. He only got a little part of a day to play on it before we left & headed down to California, but I'm sure he'll remember what's outside the back door as soon as we get home!
Thank-You Grandma Jackson! We LOVE it!! ( & you of course!)

Half Way Done!!!!
(Did I mention that it was in the mid 30's these days?...)

E entertaining himself!

Test run of the slide before we made the sandbox & put on the swings

The finished project

He LOVES the sandbox! (good call by me) The original plans were to make a
picnic table under the platform, but....really? Like he'd ever use it! I thought he
would like a sandbox much better, so we used the picnic table pieces of wood & made
our little sandbox...

The next day it was raining. E kept on going to the back door periodically & would stare
longingly at his new play place, making sure it was still there.

He learned to climb & slide down on his own pretty darn quick

Boy Oh Boy.....

Reason for getting on the computer 4 hours ago:

To Do Homework.

What I have been doing on the computer for 4 hours:

Not Homework!

Ah ha ha!!
(I'll pay for this tomorrow night when my homework is due though!)

Why do I have a blogger bookmark on my homepage? I turn on my computer & it screams at me! So I have to give in of course. After browsing the newly updated blogs of friends. I decided I didn't like the look of mine anymore. As a matter of fact, It REALLY was bugging me. I had to do something about it immediately! I went through some pictures.....which.....On a Side note: Dear Husband decided I needed a new camera {no complaints here about that!} the only problem is, he went about it all wrong. He promptly put my camera up on ebay, it sold, he shipped it away & I was left with no camera. uh? wait a second here....Yeah...so I don't have many pictures I haven't gone through {it's only been a couple of weeks} but anyway. I went through my pics starting cropping, shading, and what ever it is I do on photoshop, cause I don't know what it is, to make a blog header. Because I don't really know what I'm doing on there, it took FOREVER! but I just couldn't give up! So here it is. the new look. {for now}

Whilst Looking @ my pics of my babe, I couldn't stop going back to look at this one:

It was before we cut his hair {which I'm kinda sad we did} I liked it like that! But we were @ a friends house & he was falling asleep in the swing here! just zoning out.....

And then there's this one:

Which, for some reason makes me feel a little Homesick.
He's getting so big & not my baby anymore, but he still is. I don't know. He's been asleep for 4 1/2 hours now & I can't wait for tomorrow when we can play!! I love him.

In reality, we have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow, here's the start of it:

Eli has a new swing set that needs constructing.

wish us luck...

Mr. Busy

A Post Mainly for Grandma....

Our little Mr. Busy in action

The Ladybug Whisperer:
E was very occupied one morning, with something I couldn't see.
Very suspicious at this, I came in for a closer look. There I saw it. His ladybug friend. Crawling up his arm. He'd put his finger in it's track and make it crawl on his hand, then back up his arm. He was in awe. I was in shock. Where did this ladybug come from!?

The next day {no pictures to follow} I found him in the back yard playing with 3 ladybugs at once. Letting them frolic in the folds of his clothes. He was in love.
Our ladybug whisperer was born.

The Scrapbook'er:
E found some unorganized photos, and decided to get to work and organize them for me.
{His technique is a little different then mine}

The Avid Sharer:
E loves to share. When I took a break to the bathroom, He decided I needed some goldfish to keep me company. {yes, I took my phone w/ me, I've been listening to the Twilight Saga on audio book, stored on my phone.....therefore the camera at hand}

The Ice Skater:
E discovered that the unused plastic drawers double as perfect Ice Skates on the kitchen floor.

The Shopper:
{In Training} One day, when he is ready and prepared, with lots of practice. He will be able to keep up with his dear old Mom and her many errands & various shopping.

{when there is more then a student/homemaker's income,
the tasks will be much greater my little one...}

The Maid Service:
with a swift snatch, the mop was out of my sight and in use by my little maid service.
{only problem, he forgot the little velcro pad, otherwise it could have been useful}

The Model:
Posing with Uncle Will's hump day poster.
These are the out-takes..

The Little Boy:
Taking a break from his many Alias'
E is still my little busy boy.

Happy Halloween!!!

Can I just say.....
E LOVED Halloween!!
Last year, he was 5 months old. I didn't dress him up (other then his old navy "mummy loves me" onsie) We DID attend the ward party, but just for some din din. Husband & I didn't even dress up for that. I know Bah-Hum-bug, (or what ever the Halloween equivalent would be...) I wasn't sure we were even going to do anything this year either, cause I didn't think E would understand it, or what to do and it would just be crazy trying to get him to dress up & trick or treat. But..... I buckled. Boredom I guess....I bought him a "costume" really, just some festive pajama's from The Gap!... There is no way that I could get him to wear a hat, or anything for that matter on his head, so that was kinda tricky finding something with no head dress. We got him ready and headed out the door to hit the street. My mom "Grandma" came out for the weekend to experience this adventure with us. From the minute E got to the end of the driveway and saw other kids walking around in the street and on the sidewalks he was in heaven!
I took him up to a couple of doors & he went up held out his plastic Frankenstein head and sometimes said "eeease". {By the way this plastic Frankenstein head housed some Halloween candy last year and when I pulled it out of the Halloween decor this year, E found it & has enjoyed carrying it around the house since. That's how we decided that is what he would carry for his loot. Near the end of the street the candy was filling & it was starting to drag on the ground, since is almost the size of him anyway!! but, he would NOT let us help him with it!!} He totally caught on after the 2nd house. But, who wouldn't when there is free candy involved. He would go up to the door, I'd ring the doorbell for him & say "Trick or Treat" He'd hold out his bucket, Ooo and Ahh the residents cause he's TOO cute, get some candy & bring it home for Husband & I! Perfecto! He would actually try to walk into everyone's house after they gave him some candy!! It was a lot of fun and I'm glad we did it. E LOVED it to. He was RUNNING with a smile the entire night. It was fun to see him so happy and just enjoying being
a little boy.
He LOVED it!

Going into someones house...

Two satisfied trick or treaters!....

reaping the benefits...

*note to Joe: The gangster slippers you bought him long ago worked PERFECT for his costume!

Okay....So....

I feel So bad!!
This weekend has been SOOO crazy! We've had lots to do & had very little sleep! Friday night we had a surprise birthday party for my brother, then were up ALL NIGHT cleaning, putting stuff away. It was fun, but I took no pictures. (if YOU did, please e-mail them to me!!!) I think I got to bed at about 2:30am! Then Saturday we headed down to the OC for a cousin's baptism. Then to Aunt J's to stay the night for the CHOC walk at Disneyland the next day! I think I was in bed by 3am at night. only to wake up at 5am to get ready for the walk & be to Disneyland by 6am!! We did the walk & it was fun. (which I also have no pictures of, so get those to me too!) We totally walked by Santino Rice (a Project Runway winner) for most of the walk! Anyway, we then had a great breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen after the walk, and promptly jumped in the car headed for home sweet Las Vegas home. I slept for maybe an hour in the car, just to get the strength to drive the rest of the way, cause Husband needed to sleep more then I did. He had to meet up with a study group that night!
Anyway.....after this crazy long & sleepless weekend, we finally arrived home. Unpacked our essentials to sleep and hit the sack.
forgetting to turn on the baby monitor...
we sleep with the doors shut, cause they kind of shut on their own, then when the a/c kicks on it pushes them more into the door jam making noises of opening & closing all night. So, with our bedroom door & E's bedroom door shut and no baby monitor I had a very peaceful sleep filled night!! Only problem is, I don't know if E had the same!?? I feel so bad. I was knocked out practically drooling on my pillow all night totally unreachable to E. Hopefully he was knocked out all night as well. He usually does pretty good sleeping, but I was worried that he'd wake up not knowing where is was cause he hasn't been in his bed for a while, with our traveling. Who knows now, if he did. I finally woke up in the morning at 9:30, amazed that E was still asleep! or was he? I rolled over to look at the baby monitor to see if the noise sensing lights were jumping & I just couldn't hear him cause maybe the sound was down. Then, i realized it was turned off!!! I jumped out of bed and very groggy-ly "ran" into E's room (he usually wakes at around 7:30) I found him sitting in his bed talking to his hands cause he had nothing left. He has a couple of noisy stuffed animals in his bed that he can play with when he does wake up in the morning, that were tossed to the floor at the time. All his bedding was scattered around the floor as well. His crib bumper was untied off half of the bed & hanging over the crib. I think he tried to toss that over board as well. He even had his pants off one of his legs. ( a trick he discovered last night while wearing his kinda loose Adidas warm up pants) I'm guessing he got tired of struggling with them to get them off the other leg. So he gave up to have a talk with hands instead. He wasn't crying thankfully, but I have no idea if he was previously!!
I just feel so bad.
but he doesn't seem to care....

So, I lied.

I found more pictures on my camera!
I put in a previous post, a picture of E struggling to get out of his stroller at Disneyland. I thought that was the only picture I had from that day, but turns out, It's not. I have some more. None of Julie or Vauri whom I went to Disneyland with, I'll have to remember that for next time!
I found these pictures on the carousel there, that I thought were so funny. He wasn't sure what to think of the ride. He had the same face the whole time....

Here's E & Fav Cousin O!!!

This is E on every other ride we went on!
(this one happens to be Buzz Lightyear)
We've been to Disneyland SEVERAL times with him since he was born.
He's never cared about the rides....
.....until now......
He's afraid of them all!

TAGGED!

Heidi tagged me with the 4-4 TAG!
the 4th picture in my 4th file is....

My pictures are organized by month. Starting with the current month.
So, this picture was taken in July. E was obviously on my bed,
But I have no idea what he was doing. I think this is one of the random photos that end
up on my computer when Husband decides to pick up the camera. By the look of it,
I could take a guess,
the direction E is looking it appears that he is laughing at the TV!!!

Whaaa?

I got E & myself all ready this morning to go out and run some much needed errands. {i.e. grocery shopping puh-leese!} I ran downstairs while my live in babysitter {TV} was playing with E to get the ol'diaper bag packed with snacks and loaded in the car so I'd only have to carry E alone. After I did that, I ran back upstairs to collect the babe, calling his name while running up, hoping he'd come to the gate at the top of the stairs, making my retrieval mission a little shorter.
And.......Nothing.
It was actually eerily quiet..... so I picked up the pace,
turned the corner at the top of the stairs to see this:

Whaaa? a little too much for ya this morning bud? Yep, passed out. carpet marks on the face and everything. There was even a maggie simpson doll that used to belong to deon as a kid, smashed up on his forhead. Her plastic spikey hair left a dent there too.
{I moved her to take the pic...}

So, here it is, my perfect opportunity to fill you in a bit on what we've been up to.
I've been in CA at the parents for a week and a half. Visiting, working, attending a wedding & going to Dr. Appts. {for Eli & Myself} I really need to find us some doc's out here...
And although, it's been a week now since I've been home, We're just getting back into the swing of things. E's been under the weather for a few days that slowed us down. He's doing fine now though, so don't be concerned. :)

Anyway, This MONTH we've:

Found a Fun Park:

....A Little Ambitious?........................ {No, Joe, he is NOT a fruit}

Same Park, Same Day, Change of Outfit:

E & new friend B, trying to drink the water.............................................................

Then we Hit the road, heading for Cal-if-Or-Ni-Aa!
{same day still....the park was a plan to tire him out for the drive...which worked..}

Me, My trusty Sidkick & a can of D.Coke on the Open Road......

When in CA we:

Got a Haircut, with thanks to Aunt Sid...

Allowed Wes' car assist me in washing mine...

Made some pretty good, dangerously sweet cake pops....
{recipie here}

Had Internet Cafe......

Went to Donovan & Amrah's WEDDING!!
it was a nice, fun day. We got to see a lot of people we haven't seen in quite a while.
Wish I took some pictures...

& last, but definitly not least...

Went to Disneyland, and all I got was this crummy picture.
{I really did have fun, but once again forgot to snap some shots!}

We had some fun, but it was time to head back to Vegas...
the next morning Husband found this:

a little boy, who was apparently happy to be back in his own bed.
{6am, no flash, camera phone shot}

E has found a new place to play & watch TV in the mornings:

Yes, on top of his Train Table. He knows how to get up, but "asks"
mommy to get him back down again...

Wanted to try out his mashed potatoes with a spoon....

....and quickly gave up....

Which brings us back to the present time...

Okay, he's really in his bed right now, I moved him...
But, I do hear him starting to wake up,
Time to run our Errands......
