November- The day to day

Life is not all bad. :) 11/12
Wait, you don't have 190 school reflections entries on your bedroom floor?  That's too bad because it is super fun walking around them. #takingbackmyroomtomorrow 11/17
What? Your Cub Scout pack didn't make 100 lapel pins, put together 100 Christmas cards and donate money and crayons for toy bags? That's too bad, because ours did. :) 11/18

Paid extra for this view  I'm trusting it's a beautiful one.  Have to head home so we don't get stuck in the canyon. #stormwarning #MontageDeerValley 11/22
Guess what we're doing today? It's that time of life again. 11/25
Getting our culturing on. Examples of 4 different opinions of "put on something nice, please" are shown. #AChristmasCarol #HaleCenterTheaterOrem 11/29

November Happenings

Not a lot of excitement this month, mainly because I was feeling pregnant....close, but not.  Such a difficult place to be.  The amount of pictures I took really reflects that.

Here are a few things to note:
Liz participated in the school reflections contest.  The theme was, "The World Would be a Better Place If..." Her work was, "If everyone had a family."
In sadder news, this is what homework often looked like.
This will cheer you up though.  Eve eating the pumpkin tops.

We ate Thanksgiving dinner with the Gunderson's this year. After dinner a bunch of them went to shoot guns.
And...when your parents have to get mortgage papers signed and mailed in you sometimes have to be placated with italian gelato.

A fun thing that did happen this month was Gabe surprised me with an overnight getaway to Park City.  He had a neighbor text me not to make dinner, then Dana showed up at the house and Gabe came home with pizza.  He and I grabbed a bag and headed out the door.  We stayed at this beautiful resort called the Montage in Deer Valley.  It was a nice welcomed treat.  I want to go back and take advantage of the spa there.  I walked through it before we left and it looks like a dream.  The pool area was beautiful too.

I had purchased BYU football tickets for that weekend.  I couldn't find anyone who wanted the 4 tickets (combination of COLD weather and a crummy opponent).  My neighbor ended up taking Jacob and Ben though and the other tickets went to waste.

October- The day to day

Oh you know, just hanging out with my big family on some big pumpkins. 10/11
Big day at our home!  All 8 chickens can now start paying off their rent. 10/12
Not a bad view at this football game. #paysonldstemple 10/14
Oh you know, just checking out a haunted woods activity at Maple Dell BSA camp...because I wouldn't rather be lying in bed watching Netflix. 10/18
Nothing says, "Happy Birthday!" like a celebratory breakfast at Kneaders. #teenager 10/20
Nothing says, "Happy Birthday" like a celebratory berry smoothie at Costco (that you don't have to share!) #5yearsold 10/27
Happy Halloween! 10/31
One more obligatory Halloween picture. #stillawaystogo 10/31

October Happenings

Some documented October activities included:
Sam won the "golden boot" for playing hard at his game.  2 kids per game receive it, then they get passed to someone else.
Eve taking care of her baby.
We visited the Vineyard Gardens Pumpkin patch.  Obviously Liz stayed with me so I have the most pictures of her, though all the kids were there.
Another day we visited Jakers pumpkin patch.
Jacob got to sit by the driver.  He didn't distract the 14 year too much.  They had fun trying to hit all the pumpkins on the path.
Later that night Jacob and 2 friends went to the Cornbelly's Haunted houses for his birthday party/gift.  He said it was super fun.  Gabe took them (I was so happy to sit this one out).

Another night we went to Maple Dell scout camp for their Haunted Woods activity.  It wasn't too scary the boys said, but it was something to do.  I took these kids on the "children's walk."  We fell behind the group and it was a bit hard walking an unknown path in the pitch dark, pregnant and carrying a 2 year old.  My phone flashlight was stuck on strobe mode, so that helped a bit, but still wasn't the greatest.
We celebrated Jacob's 13th birthday with some giant ice cream cones.
Gabe later took him to choose a 22 rifle.
I attended Jacob's first band concert.  I like to call these things "parenting karma," for all the concerts my mom attended for me.  I think his band teacher let him take the rag out of the bell for the concert, but maybe not.
I took the younger kids to "trick or treat" on main street while Gabe took the big kids shooting.
2 seconds when Eve kept something in her hair.  Liz did it for her.
The kids showed their costumes to Grandma and Grandpa Baugh the Sunday before Halloween.
To celebrate Joseph's 5th birthday we went on a "Haunted Train Ride."  Grandma and Grandpa Baugh joined us.  The Heber train ride lasted just a few minutes, but we still had fun.  We ate dinner at the Train fast food joint in town.  Sadly, we left Joseph's gift there (a scooter).  Luckily my parent's were headed back to Heber later in the week though so they were able to pick it up.
Ben's class did a reader's theater.  Ben was the director and did a fine job.
He also wanted to document his one year anniversary of wearing glasses.  He took 10 or so pictures to do so.
Here the kids are at their school costume parade.
Jacob, Samuel and Ben all trick-or-treated with friends this year.  Lots of candy was gained by all.
We happened to get a lot of pumpkins this year between the school giving them out, grandpa's garden, and our train activity in Heber so we did a lot of carving.  It was too windy Halloween night to light them, but we got them all lit the next night for fun.
