Damn the Heat (title not endorsed by the wife)

High gas prices have stranded us in Phoenix this summer but we finally broke down and took a break from the heat. We drove to Flagstaff and went on a great hike, got rained on, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The little monster gives stink face even though there is nothing else to possibly provide.

8 hours a day in a cubicle does not prepare one for this line of work.

Visit to Rocklin

Last week Hailey and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. We had a really great time seeing everyong in my family and enjoyed the cooler weather. We went to the zoo, went shopping, played games, and went swimming. Hailey had a blast chasing the kitten around and playing with everyone. Thanks for the great time, we miss you already!

Trip to the ER

Last week Hailey had her first major accident. She is known to run full speed ahead without looking where she is going. Unfortunately she tripped on Grandma's rug and fell face first onto the marble coffee table. She actually only cried for a few minutes, but we were worried that she might need stitches so we took her to the hospital. She was happy to get a stuffed animal at check-in and was wonderful for the doctors. Instead of stitches she just got some "glue" to help heal and close the wound. She was so good at the hospital, and we were in and out of there in 35 minutes! Besides me feeling like the worst mom ever, we made it through okay. Hopefully it gets better soon so people can stop asking if she got in a fight at preschool :) Here's some pictures of the damage.
